Well I have a little problem with Aemon´s quote, because ice indeed preserves... after you´re dead. Indeed I do :read: I agree that the baby was in a trance while with the Other, but what about the time with Rast (he didn´t exactly take it out and lay it behind the keep) and the time before the Other came - newborn in snow, practically naked. Occam´s razor?

I hope this hasn´t been discussed, otherwise I´ll feel like a fool, but: Could someone explain to me how the hell did the little baby Craster survive? How come he didn´t freeze to death? I mean, he was lying in snow, covered with one piece of cloth, and then he was riding, presumably for hours, with a creature that is the embodiment of ice. :dunno:
