  1. There's a Kvothe joke in there somewhere.
  2. Ah yes, for some reason I thought it was, then someone mentioned it would be neat to have two moons and pretty much winked at the camera. Also, I have come to accept that every character in every Kay book is just horny, all the time.
  3. So, is under heaven set in the same world as any of his other works? I thought it was but a character just mentioned there is only one moon.
  4. I hate Tigana but have really liked/loved everything else I've read so far.
  5. Finished TWC. Fucking loved it. You people are all insane. Ah yes, I was trying to remember the board member who was so gung ho about that theory. I'm still not sure if I would say other planet but they sure as hell ain't from this one. Could be some inter dimension stuff.
  6. Oh, I'm in Rochester, NY. It fucking sucks. We have two Barnes and Nobles and um, well we have two Barnes and Nobles. And yeah the GGK selection is fairly small.
  7. I’m poking around in B&N right now and it’s interesting how everything here seems to be the exact inverse of what Pat described. Not that I’m accusing him of lying, just that region differences are...very different.
  8. I wonder how much region has to do with book store selection too. I know you UK bastards get all kinds of cool stuff we don’t get or get years later.
  9. That’s weird, the B&N here Corey and Leckie out the wazoo, Jemsin also has a lot of room. Of course GRRM practically has his own section. Going to have to look next time to see what’s what. I know personal preference plays a part sometime, which is why it used to have Bakker stocked fairly well until recently. oh and I’m always reminded how little this forum represents things when I see how insanely popular Sanderson is. Not that I don’t like you guys or his stuff. :p
  10. Oh man those Bobby Dollar covers looked like they would have been rejected by Baen.
  11. o.O No Fighting! That's for the political threads! Also to clarify a bit from yesterday, in no way do I endorse goodreads as indicative of anything ever. And I do kind of know what's its like to hate something that everyone else seems to love cough cough the night circus cough cough.
  12. Yeah I wasn't trying to be snarky...well OK i was a bit but I wasn't saying your opinions are invalid, just that it seems to be met more favorably on other sites. As for sales, I know nothing about how that, that's a @Werthead question.
  13. Sure, but a few people on a forum saying they don't like it is also Anecdotal.
  14. This is the only place I’ve seen such negativity about it. All my good reads friends loved it.
  15. I still haven't read part 3, though I bought it the day it came out.
  16. Is A Brightness Long Ago a stand alone? I can't seem to find any consensus on that.
  17. Ohh thats why there's a tear in the fabric of reality today.
  18. Yeah I just remember thinking the review was funny at the time. Don’t take it too seriously please.
