I guess most of us know. It just doesn't work, at least for me.

I don't see where the problem is, really. I can upload any picture I want and it works just fine for me. I can see my current avatar whether I'm logged in or not, so I'm assuming that it works. Is the OP still up-to-date? Now, I'm wondering, though... Is it really working for me? What can you see when you're looking at my avatar? What animal and what background color? ETA: My question has been answered over here. OP needs to be updated, it seems. It just confuses new members...

Yeah, I turned that feature off. I only follow topics when I specifically choose to do so. It's too much otherwise. So there must be something else that's causing problems with notifications.
