It didn't look like there was much, if any, snow, in Winterfell, or outside on the plain where the armies met. Not sure what they jumped into.

It's pointless now to guess anything about any part of this mess. No matter what you read, no matter what actors are cast or not, no matter how you read and understand the books, it's so far off the rails that discussing it now is an even bigger waste of our short lives than all the prior years combined. I'm just sad it's come to this. What a disgrace.

I think what Sam said about a man doing something unpopular but he knows is "right" is up there with "he always comes back." That seems like something a dumb confused kid might need for justification. Just saying.

I would have hoped that Sansa, knowing she had to go through with her wedding night, would have simply and forcefully showed her (supposedly) new found power and agency, and shed her clothes outright as a sign that she feared nothing and was in control (to the extent she could be in the presence of a monster). But instead, she was still the timid victim. Even if the torment and abuse still occurred regardless. At least she wouldn't have gone in like a sacrificial lamb. Unfortunate that.

Yeah, but technically she's not even that anymore since Roose is now Warden, and Winterfell is his. They need her to keep the Stark north somewhat placated, not as an heiress, if I understand the show version correctly. Guess I was just hoping for a bit more from her at this point. Maybe it will come later but we're running out of time before psycho gets her to the bedroom. And I doubt a naive virginal girl has somehow acquired the skills to please a sadist like Ramsay.

I was hoping Sansa would recognize her importance to the Boltons. While she is being passive aggressive in small ways, how can she simply sit and take being nothing more than a breeding mare for them? Playing LF's dubious game of waiting for Stannis doesn't mean she can't make small steps in asserting her own legitimate place as a Stark, in the pro-Stark north, and a high born noble woman. Regardless of what she thinks of Theon, I thought her first show of empowerment would have been to manipulate Ramsay into not treating him like a dog. I don't know. Maybe I'm off here.
