  1. Are there any theories which says Arianne is not really Doran and Mellario's daughter? The more I re-read Dorne, the more I wonder if Doran truly cares about Arianne. I know such a theory exists about Quentyn because he was the one whom Doran sent on a dangerous mission with insufficient escort. However, if Doran wanted Arianne to be queen or had great ambitions for her, why did he never teach her to be smarter and more adept at game of thrones? This was Dorne - where they gave more respect, power and responsibilities to women. But Arianne seems less trained in politics than Cersei or Catelyn. Tywin and Hoster were also ambitious fathers, too. Doran only actively starts to prepare Arianne for ruling after the Queenmaker plot.
  2. Do you think much of Aeron's tragedy could have been averted if he told his father about Euron's nightly visits?
  3. @Bluesnow Jaime still being in love with Cersei is irritating, I keep hoping for something to happen and he finally snaps. But Jaime might have exaggerated his love towards Cersei while talking to Edmure, because Jaime's aim was to break Edmure in any way possible - better to threaten to kill him and his family than actually kill the Tullys and breaking his oath to Catelyn. Jaime tried his best not to take arms with Blackfish (he looks disappointed knowing that Blackfish died fighting). I think Brienne's presence in the castle was also a strong motivation for him avoid the bloodshed - in the books we can know what is going on through his mind, but it is not possible to show it on TV - so they used Jaime's feelings for Brienne. After Edmure lowers his head, we see Jaime looking satisfied - he know he has Edmure, which means he can win Riverrun without taking up arms. tl;dr Show!Jaime still loves Cersei, but he also cared about Brienne and his oath to Catelyn.
  4. There were a lot of oranges for sale in Braavos - was it a dig at Lemongate?
  5. No, I made that comment before the details of chapter came out. The three brothers Euron killed are Harlan, Urri and Balon. Aeron's chances of survival are very thin, but his death is not confirmed. But I think he will die, because he fits Dany's vision 'a corpse on the prow of a ship, grey lips smiling sadly'
  6. Thanks you, Ser. I found this passage interesting: Azor Ahai? Jon foreshadowing? Another person who got drowned and set to make a strong comeback is Tyrion.
  7. Irrespective of to whom the throne belongs, this is a great observation!
  8. Probably. There is so much going on KL without Euron's help, anyway. But where is Euron currently sailing?
  9. So, Euron took Shield Islands, and may soon raid Oldtown too, and he gave it to his vassals. The Redwyne fleet which is the major sea-power of the Crown, is sailing West to capture Euron's minions. Doesn't that mean King's Landing will soon be undefended from an attack by the sea? Looks like Aegon will win the throne first, only to be defeated by Euron.
  10. Thanks for clarifying, and more thanks for your notes!
  11. She loves Daario for his looks. Euron is handsome, and fiery. My impression is that Euron knows how to charm people, how to "play" them to get them do what he wants them to do. She will eventually realize what a horror he truly is, but I do not think it is too far-fetched that Dany will marry Euron. She needs ships (Vic may soon die. Vic is the only person anywhere near Dany who could tell what Euron is like. But Vic is a 'kraken' traveling with 'dark/black flame', and Dany will not trust them per Quaithe's warning, failing to see the real kraken she should fear is Euron).
  12. Well, they do not have priests. He probably thought that the Old Gods are powerless. If many of our theories are wrong (about Euron being a greenseer and Blodoraven's runaway disciple), he would have no idea about the power of Old Gods. His knowledge comes from his travels. Unless he went North of the Wall, or he met the Ghost of the High Heart, he would not know about greenseers. But can't believe him not taking a trip to God's Eye for the curiosity if for nothing else. Or he is working for the Old Gods. But having no Northern Swords in the Iron Throne, and no Old Gods in Euron's throne, maybe a good thing.
  13. Is Euron after immortality? (He is an evil version of Jack Sparrow, after all)
  14. I was thinking the same, after reading about the Aeron chapter. We could have discussed magic and dragons and gods and all, instead we had Elia Sand's amorous activities and the flora of Stormlands (not that the latter is not interesting - the cave part was great)
  15. Burning questions after this chapter - Who should be king, according to what the gods told Aeron? The only remaining king-worthy candidates are Rodrik Harlaw (who did not try his luck in Kingsmoot) and Theon (who was not present). Because Aeron does not say the king's name, even in his own head, makes me think it is Theon. Because Aeron believes Theon to be dead, and to think the Gods suggested Theon's name would make either the Gods to be wrong, or himself to be mad. Being devout and already driven crazy by Euron, Aeron keeps that thought away. Another reason that the 'drowned god' would mutter Theon's name - the Drowned God is one of the First Men gods, before they accepted the faith of Old Gods. It could be actually Bloodraven or Bran (who are both of First Men blood and working with the Old Gods and the Children) who was speaking to Aeron, only Aeron thought it was the Drowned God. We know they are already shouting Theon,Theon to Theon and Asha by the agency of ravens. What are the horn's real powers? It was called Dragonbinder, but the visions suggest that it will call Dragons, Krakens and Sphinxes. I will believe the Kraken bit, because there were Kraken sightings reported by Varys/Qyburn/others. Is there is a connection between Alleras the Sphinx, Euron, and Marwin the maege? Who is the woman with tall shadow? First thoughts - Dany. second thought - Night's Queen. (Who is to say Euron went mad(der) after a chance encounter with an Other, similar to the one Night's King had? What if Euron is the Night's King reborn? Maybe the Others have prophecies too.) Who are the dwarves in the throne room? Kings and queens, it would seem. Cersei, Margaery, Victarion, Aegon, Stannis, maybe Dany too if she is not the woman next to Euron. In Dany's vision, small men raping the woman was the five kings tearing the realm apart, so the copulating betweens male and female dwarves in this vision would imply fights between different kings and queens. Why is Euron collecting Priests? He seems to have no respect for any religion. His association with FM might suggest he is cooperating with them, but this cannot be certain, because the FM claim that all religions fall under Him of Many Faces, because all men must die. You know who does not die naturally? the Others. Maybe HoBaW is taking over all religions via Euron, or maybe they are against him. Maybe the Alchemist is in Citadel because he learned about Euron's plans and needed to take action. Why is the Valyrian Steel armor important? Maybe he is just showing off, maybe it has magical powers, maybe Valyrian steel armor will protect him from dragonfire should the need arise.
  16. Euron does a lot of evil things, but I agree with him regarding the truth of gods and magic.
  17. My first thoughts on the tall terrible woman with hands of white fire was Dany, but since she was not tall, I thought it would be the Night's Queen. The Others are told to be tall and white. White fire may note be the normal fire. Then the detailed version that Ran posted, it says 'tall shadow' of a woman. This woman could be of any height, if only the shadow was tall. I would also add that Arya could grow to become a tall woman:
  18. Transcript from the link shared by @Free Northman Reborn on twitter user @arhythmetic's notes. Text in (..) are my comments. (1/2) "Bleeding star bespoke the end" (page 2 of notes, visions part). Wonder what that means. Euron on a throne of skulls and (?)dwarves run around (Penny and Tyrion?) (another vision?) Iron Throne replaced by skulls with all gods impaled on it. (Ultimate victory for the Many faced God?) [Aeron's thoughts after kignsmoot] Aeron 'heard' the gods say Euron can't be king. After (? the kingsmoot), Aeron was taken prisoner after a blow on the head. Aeron is held in Oakenshield on Shield Islands Falia (Flowers) to be Euron's salt wife. She is gifted many luxuries to(by?) Euron. Euron takes little of plunder. Made Falia's sisters serve her naked as 'revenge' Euron has gone East (on?) all his ships to get Dany to be his rock wife. "The two of us will be his (?) as sisters" - Falia (good luck with that!) Aeron prays to Drowned God for death. He is dragged up (to meet Euron?). Euron has a dagger. Euron used to 'visit' Aeron and Urrie (Damn it! Molesting confirmed) - Euron asks Aeron if he was 'praying that I'd choose you or pass you over?' Euron reaching Aeron: (1) Robyn - half brother (2) Harlan had grayscale - Euron killed them. (3) Balon - Euron admits that he killed, but not with his own hand (FM confirmed). Has a greenlands priest (? septon?), A priest of R'hllor Man of burned face and arms (Moqorro?) Warlocks - one lost legs - shouts "Pree" as he (?) Aeron questions why Euron is collecting priests. Septons made soft noises (?) fingers cut out Euron's lips so blue almost black. Wore an iron crown of shark teeth (cool!) gave away shields (islands) - "a good king is open-handed" if they lose, the loses belong to those who took the gifts. Euron forces more shade down Damphairs (mouth). (2/2) Dreams Saw longships burning Euron on Iron Throne, like a Kraken with tentacles Long, tall, terrible woman of hands of white fire next to him Male and female dwarves running around naked, copulating and fighting Woman and Euron laughed A familiar voice, says to hurry getting Aeron out Aeron dragged upstairs - window in the wall, slit. Dragged into a torchlit gallery where another amount of corpses are hanging Other prisoners are drinking - Roger saltbeard, Red Oarsmen, Corpses belong to people of the Arbor. Lefthand (of Euron, is sitting) Lucas (Codd?) - says "words are wind, but blood is power" Redwyne fleet creeps to Arbor -Leyton Hightower trying to get in (? through the Mander) Joke about Aeron knowing about what it's like to be taken from behind (Confirmed molestation by Euron) Euron clad in black scale armor, edged in red gold (?) glyphs on the steel Armor is valyrian steel. Only one who owns a suit of (Valyrian) steel. Euron had been to Valyria binding the priests to the prows of ships Aeron bound to the prow of Slience Black sail raised Castle above them is burning (Euron burnt the Shields?) Out at the sea, Euron said he had a gift for Euron (Aeron?) Two of Euron's bastards(his mutes or his actual children?) took out a woman, pregnant and crying - Falia Flowers - who had no tongue "He licked his (?) and tasted salt"
  19. Damn, Aeron is dead, it seems. But if Euron killed Victarion (he says he killed three brothers) too, does that mean this chapter is before Vic's Winds chapter?
  20. Check out these: https://twitter.com/MeereeneseKnot https://twitter.com/BryndenBFish
  21. In the preview for next episode, there is nothing related to ToJ, that is okay, they may keep it under the wraps. But it seems that 'Bran learns a great deal' is about whitewalkers. And there is no bloodraven aynwhere near him in the vision. Does this mean that Night king is Bloodraven?
  22. Cersei named Daven Lannister as Warden of West. As he is most likely to get killed in Red Wedding 2.0, he is not gonna tell LF anything. Jaime however, does expect LF to come down to Harrenhal and set things right. He says so to Ser Bonifer who is the current castellan of Harrenhal.
  23. This sounds more like LF's natural twisted ploys than the marry-Harry plan he fed Sansa with. The only problem is Robert's health, and LF's lack of concern for Robert's survival. Also, wouldn't Robert know that it was LF who made the betrothal between Sansa and Harry? Now, if Robert was LF and Lysa's son, it adds a different perspective, but LF can't put all his dreams of conquering Westeros on a sickly little boy who is getting dosed with sweetsleep. If LF makes sure Harry fall in love with Sansa, and then make her get married to Robert, Harry will want to marry her even after she is Robert's widow. So Harry would either be accused of Robert's death, or he would marry Sansa and this will help to retain LF's power in the Vale. LF is counting on Sansa to keep Harry under her control. This is again an unstable situation for LF, because Sansa could gradually become more loyal to Harry than to LF. Also, Harry is the dashing youth similar to Brandon who took away Cat from LF. I doubt LF would let that happen again.
