Might be pacifistic GRRM raising the middle finger to a celebration of weapons and violence. Seems like any sword with any connection to the Lannisters is especially lame. Blackfyre (except for the spelling) and Dark Sister are OK, not great. Ice is cool for the original, not so much for the Valyrian greatsword Ned carries. Needle is clever, since Arya hates actual needlework. Longclaw is silly and Heartsbane is pretentious. This is an opinion poll. Those are my opinions. I also liked Widow's Wail. Pretty clever on that one as well. Forget sword names, though. I've always loved the ship names GRRM has come up with throughout the books.
