Though.. who were the people in Ricks "house"?

I'd imagine just some random, unnamed survivors.

I don't expect that we'll be seeing any of them again. They were just there to move Rick & Co. on down the road.

And, I'm glad for it. It will be a nice reunion at Terminus, I think. Looking forward to it.

Those are my feelings as well. And regarding Eugene, are you telling me that a guy from the South who sports a mullet has no clue how to use a rifle?

That's what I was thinking, but didn't want to stereotype. Mullet guy is a scientist I can take, but he didn't know how to shoot the gun. Really? After all this time in the ZA he hasn't learned?

I agree he should've known how to fire the rifle two years into the apocalypse, but even though I know how to fire all sorts of firearms, I've never fired a military type automatic rifle. Not sure I'd do much better under the stress of encroaching undead.

Solid episode last night. I was glad that Rick just got out of Dodge, instead of doing the typical tv/moive thing and kill everyone. Also, it means he didn't create any enemies who will be looking for him.

I liked the episode. Slow but tense.

I dunno, that actor who was bouncing the ball is a veteran character actor. I wonder if they'd bring in a recognizable face for what amounts to just a minute of screen time, never to appear again.

Really? That's interesting. Could they be a scavenging party from Terminus, you think?

Im pretty sure he's the Asshole mayor in Sons of Anarchy and the arms dealer in the recent gun episode of Always Sunny. Either way he has a recognisable enough face that the only reason for showing him for a minute has to be that he's going to show back up

Yep, the guy on the porch is a recognizable TV actor, he even has a recurring role on Sons of Anarchy,so it would not be surprising if he comes back,.That being said, the guy from Terriers whom Rick shot in season 2 was also pretty recognizable. There is a precedent of tossing away good character actors.

I agree with this. I recognized him and it seams like we might see him again...other guys from the house...I'm not sure. All the time Rick was there we didn't see one face. I think it was done on purpose. they were shown as faceless danger. One guy we do see is not only recognizable but also has a feature we will remember...the ball bouncing thing...

I liked the most of the episode. Rick stuff was a bit boring. Mich and Carl were cool. And I really felt sorry for poor Glenn. The new trio is like mentioned before too cliche for now. Maybe they'll flash them out more later, for now I'm not too interested. Mr. Testosteron is all talk...Oh look at me I'm saving the world...I'm so important...I'm all masculine and ginger...and I smile while killing zombies all bullet free and sweaty..And his story...so military sends one guy to escort the only person who can stop zapocalypse to DC? or did I miss something? And he was away from DC for a year even though he knew what was going on and how to stop it? He was in contact with people there for almost a year without trying to go there sooner? I'm missing something, aren't I? It's all just too vague and needs more explanation imho.

I'm glad they moved the story in that direction. Someone in zapocalypse must have had clue how it all started and someone must have tried something to stop it.

I thought trio was from Terminus by the way.

There were couple of lol moments...like when he was talking to sister of Gov's ex and he was saying how she's a good person cause he can see how devoted and loyal she is to Glenn and I was thinking...dude,like only a day ago (or less) she was shooting at him  you got it all right...spot on...Episode was full of that stuff like scientist guy declaring I'm smarter than you right after showing how he's in fact not smart enough to use a gun...or how Sister said to Mr.Testosteron how she sees girl from the trio follows him cause she loves him right after said girl chose to follow perfect stranger Glenn and leave Mr.T behind. That was priceless.

Don't get me wrong it's not a critique or anything I just laughed at those moments...

Mich and Carl are dream team....she really is better character paired up with him...and vice versa...

Can't wait for next week and Beth and Daryl story.

BTW did scientist guy give anyone else some Sheldon Cooper vibes? If it turns out to be the case I would say it's will make ot much more believable he doesn't know how to shoot a gun.

The thing I like about the episode is the slow build-up, the tense nature of hiding under the bed wounded and weak. I also liked the spin that the "bogie man" was ON TOP of the bed.

I don't mind romances. This is still a story about human nature and what drives us, and as much as survival is the need for love no matter how many times the heart gets broken by loss, so I am fine with a Rick/Michonne hook-up. Right now, Michonne seems to be the only one able to reach Carl.

I also don't mind Abraham and his trio of more light-hearted characters rather than the steady stream of misery porn characters which is not a human reality either. Most people do try to hold onto hope, and even now, there are people who try to "save the world, so their behaviors wouldn't be necessarily inconsistent with what you would run into on the road.

It might be the "delusion" factor that could end up being the dangerous thing.

The character actor I suspsect will be a player. You have Rick and his group, and you have the likes of Abraham, but then you would have these roaming marauders who are either a part of bigger, more heinous group that Abrahams group might need to fight off, in which case Abraham needs to grow his group, which is likely what we will see, or they are like little cancer cells of desruction who are not fit for any group but just as lethal.

So yeah, I think this guy could be worse than the Governor.

It was mentioned above, but does Rosita really need to dress like she's played too many Tomb Raider games?

Her outfit just screamed "I wanna be Lara Croft!", which contrasted with everyone else being dressed in worn clothes.

And yeah, there's no way mullet guy is a) in contact with anyone (in DC or otherwise) or b ) he is special and knows how the whole thing started. Abraham just seems like a gung ho idiot who is happy to be given a purpose in the new world where survival is everything.

I thought it was a pretty fascinating episode, myself. The game of cat-and-mouse between Rick and the group of murdering/rapists in Rick's house... the fleshing out of Michonne's character via Carl, whom I love and WILL NOT HEAR ANYTHING SAID AGAINST!

But now I can't get the image out of my mind of Reedus mooning "Rick" as he was coming off of the roof.

ETA: I guess we'll find out soon enough (hope so, anyway) whether Scientist carries the hope for humanity in his dear mullet head.

That was my first impression too. He's some schmuck who lucked into having a gullible GI Joe bodyguard and his sidekick with optional kung-fu grip.

That's my take too. mullet guy seems like a goober with a large vocabulary and slightly above average intelligence.

I think regarding Rositas dress, it is probably a nod to the dangerous "delusion" factor that may play into Abrahams wanting to save the world and she thinks she is Kroft, that or a character from "Sucker Punch".

Or, it could be an obvious play on fanboy fantasy.

Damn, what a slow episode. Rick's entrapment and escape could have had some tension if we weren't 100% sure he would survive. The three new characters have a certain potential, but we need to know a lot more about them before I judge them as good characters. BTW, where did they start out from? A military base? If they're sending the hope of mankind to Washington DC, you'd think they'd give him more than two bodyguards (as a poster above also pointed out).

My thoughts exactly.

And if they didn't start out from a military base how is Mr.Testosteron so certain this guy knows anything? He could have made the whole thing up.

We see the guy who gets kicked off the bed very clearly, and he sees Rick before passing out.

No one who survived that we might see again. That guy and the one in the bathroom were dead in that episode so no chance of them popping up again as characters.
