Mr. X Posted August 11, 2014 Share Posted August 11, 2014 So, here's some general party info: Drinks wise, there will be ale, lager, cider, and punch, along with some soft drinks, namely soda and bottled water. That's it. We are limited this year for two reasons: (1) We had to order everything through the ExCeL Centre's catering company, so we could only buy what they were selling. (2) Representatives of that company will be inspecting the parties to ensure that everything we are serving either matches our invoices from them or is on a list of preapproved exemptions. If we have things not on those lists, our party gets shut down and we get kicked out. I mention the second point because anyone who has been to a BWB hotel room party in the past 7 or 8 years knows that donations of booze from BWBers or other parties and private stashes of booze was a commonplace thing. As much as we appreciated that in the past, it can't happen this year. In case that's not clear enough, DO NOT BRING ANY OUTSIDE BOOZE TO THE PARTY ON FRIDAY! Thank you. Now let's get this convention started so we can start hanging out and enjoying each other's company. P.S. I know absolutely nothing about the possibility of a number of dried Trinidad Scorpion peppers being packed in an old prescription pill bottle and ferried to the BWB party on Friday.
