Saddhara Posted August 17, 2014 Share Posted August 17, 2014 Soo Jamie has several arguments with Cersei, and lots of internal dialogue, about wanting to marry Cersei and the hell with everyone. Anyway at the end of one chapter he starts adding to his page in the White Book (as Lord Commander he gets to fill it out). He talks about all his defeats and captures, his hand getting chopped off and Brienne saving him.And he muses to himself that he can write "whatever he chose" in it. Then, again, for emphasis..."Whatever he chose..."I think he's gonna spill the beans in the White Book. And it's gonna be the key to Lannister ruin. Though the LC is supposed to enter not only special performances in battle, he's also supposed to enter special feats performed in tourneys and such. It is obvious that Barristan refused to do that with Jaime's entry, of course because of Jaime killing the king he was sworn to protect. Jaime's "whatever he chose" means that it is now Jaime's turn to decide what will be in the book. Will a KG knight reading his entry in 100 years only read about Jaime's action of killing his king? Or will he get to read about Jaime setting things to right, doing right by his vows? That's the thing Jaime is musing about, and in Feast and Dance, it will be revealed which of the two options Jaime choses :p What chance Varys already has his own copy waiting to be swapped over?
