The Collective DCU TVerse -- Lions, Titans, and Supergirls

Hey, you know that Titans show we were supposed to get awhile back? It's finally going to happen. And remember when we didn't really know where the Young Justice revival was going to air? We do now.

DC is establishing their own streaming service in 2018, and it'll be the home a Titans live action show and Young Justice season 3.

Black Lightning trailer

Looks good to me. Allegedly not based in the Arrow-verse, mostly because this is filmed in Atlanta...but, c'mon, this is a multiverse. They can crossover when they want to.

So, it looks like The Dark Knight Returns: Black Lightning Edition.

seems bizarre that they wouldn't set it in the arrowverse at this stage - especially when it's on CW (the only reason Supergirl wasn't directly attached at first). Love it or loathe it the CWDC banner gets recognition these days like a diet Marvel effect eg "hey this show will be stupid and fun"

I'm pretty sure it's set in its own 'verse just to give them leeway with the whole 'he was around in the early 2000s' thing.

Anyway, I'm not hugely familiar with the character, so is it just me or have they drawn almost as much from the John Henry Irons Steel as they have from Black Lightning himself in the comics for this? Certainly the tech-focused suit, even though he has his own powers, and the prominence of his daughter give that impression.
