Lithon
When the Three-eyed Raven and Bran talked in the cave. The old man told said to him:"... so you could find what you have lost". What did Bran lose?
JonBranRickon
I don't think Bran lost anything. I believe it could be old knowledge of how to kill the Others or maybe some kind of weapon. I suspect that it is the Ice Dragon.

WinterRaven
Might it also be referring to the loss of his legs? He won't learn to walk again, but he'll gain the ability to "fly", something that's even better. The purpose explanation seems good to me as well though. I think it's tied in - remember he wanted to be a soldier, Kingsguard or knight, way back in episode 1 of season 1? Robert said he was strong, he'll be a soldier, or something. Bran envisioned a similar purpose for himself which was destroyed when he lost the ability to walk.
King Tyrion I
Well, in a certain way he also lost his family. He's no longer at Winterfell.
ummester
good point King Tyrion. he has lost a lot. and, even as JonBranRickon posted, it could be a reference to a knowledge that people on Westeros have lost, a knowledge of the past. I'm not going to agree with any bloody Ice dragons though :D
