Facha Martell Posted October 31, 2014 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Assuming that the Pate that Sam meets at the end of the book is the same Pate that was killed (?) by the Alchemist and that, as many of us believe, the Alchemist is actually Jaqen H'ghar... Why is he there? To kill who? Who sent him? If the Citadel was conspiring "against magic" in Westeros, maybe he was sent to infiltrate and kill the heads of that plot...but who is interested in letting magic develop in Westeros and can pay for a FM?Illirio?
