There are some twenty-three instances in the entire book, less than twice as many as in that one post, in fact. Every author seems to have his favorite words, but I didn't find overmuch giggling going on. It may be on the level of "supple" in GRRMs A Game of Thrones, but nowhere near "presently" in Phillip Pullmans books. Or *shudder* Terry Goodkinds remorseless overuse of "instantly". *edit* And those are great books. Excepting Goodkind of course. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
