Phipps Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Richard the Third has a popular interpretation about one of his most famous "kick the dog" acts in the story where he claims he murdered a woman's husband and family because he was desperately in love with her. The interpretation is, not that she falls for it, but because marrying Richard is her opportunity to maintain her power. Orys made her an offer which seems very likely she could have refused. "I'll make you my lady wife and give you back your castle, lands, and title if you agree to marry me. I'll also show your father great respect."
