Watch, Watched, Watching: Witness Me!

I've been watching way too much of The Office lately. I'm on the season 5 finale right now, and drunk Stanley is the best Stanley - "I don't usually enjoy the theater, but this is delightful." One of my favorite lines of the series, just perfect timing.

Been watching Peep Show. I'm all for cringe humor, but this seems on a whole other level.

How far are you? Season Series 3 Episode 3 is one of the funniest individual half hours of television I've ever seen.

Just saw Jurassic World, surprised to see it doesn't have its own thread. Was good, not great, telegraphed it's twists and pandered to the masses too much, but other than that is was a good couple of hours of entertainment, it satisfied me adequately.

7/10

I'm going to see it tonight. How was Pratt?

Watched Hot Girls Wanted. Interesting documentary on the recent obsession with pro-am porn. You get to see how affected some of these girls are and the self denial that's at play.

Was just about to watch this on Netflix actually, but the decided I didn't really want to watch it before I go off to work in a bit. Maybe later

I thought this looked interesting, and was planning to watch it. Will bump it up the to watch list, thanks!

Finally saw Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Thought it was pretty good, easily as good as Rise of the Planet of the Apes (the reboots) if not better.

Was kind of perturbed that pretty much all of the movie could have been averted if Malcolm had just been candid with Caesar about the gun part, though.

Otherwise, a pretty good film. Although I would have liked more Gary Oldman, I think overall it benefited from focussing on the apes.

I really enjoyed it too. And yeah, the humans sucked big time. The ape stuff was the interesting part

Started watching Aquarius. David Duchovny looking exactly like Fox Mulder dressed as an LA police detective looking for a missing girl. Gethin Anthony as Charles Manson, not looking a thing like Renly Baratheon at all. The third lead whoever he is, is an interesting character. First episode was good. Charlie Manson, I knew he was creepy but fuuuuuuuuuuckk. Ends with a bang, sort of.

Going to watch the new 'acclaimed' Nordic noir tv series: Jordskott .Looks good, getting a True Detective vibe from the trailers. :)

A new 10-part thriller adds a supernatural Norse element to the dark crime formula previously laid out by The Killing and The Bridge.Jordskott airs on Wednesdays on ITV Encore, 10pm.

A chilly draught, the faint sound of a crying child and a mounting sense of dread announce the arrival of another Scandinavian import on British TV. Produced by Sweden’s state broadcaster, SVT, and set in the ancient forests that cover more than half the country, 10-part mystery thriller Jordskott premieres on ITV Encore tonight and brings with it the kind of critical acclaim that its Nordic predecessors The Killing, Borgen and The Bridge enjoyed.

The difference with Jordskott is that it draws heavily on deep, dark Norse mythology to set itself apart from its contemporaries. Creator Henrik Björn explains: “It starts as a normal crime story, but it soon takes a detour … It will end up in a very different place compared to where it started. It’s a genre mashup.”

I just watched Almost Famous. It was entertaining and diverting for a couple of hours but it didn't blow me away. I can't say I really cared what happened to anybody in the film. I'm glad I saw it but I imagine my life would be exactly the same if I hadn't seen it.

Currently watching Brad Pitt in the actor's studio, which has been more fascinating in the first five minutes than the whole of Almost Famous was.

Watching a BBC Documentary; After Life: The Strange Science of Decay

"Dr George McGavin examines the fascinating science of decay of a typical kitchen and a garden 'left' to rot, captured over two months by time-lapse photography."

Really fascinating

Watching GoT week to week because I can't stop myself, but of course that's about to end. After that's over will start watching episodes of Veep and Silicon Valley that have been piling up on dvr.

Finally watched Breaking Bad. Yeah, I'm know I'm *very* late to that party. So good, so intense. I'm glad I waited to binge watch after the whole series was over. Amazed by the acting, but I will probably not re-watch. Ever. It's too intense. Lingering side effect from binging is that I'm ending a lot of sentences with "yo." Amusing the hell out of myself but no one besides my husband gets it.

Debating on whether I will give the new True Detective a chance. I fear a letdown after Harrelson and McConaughey tbh.

Re-watching Planet Earth series on Netflix with family. Watched when my daughter was very young so she doesn't remember much of it. Cinematography is so beautiful. And I wish Sir David Attenborough would narrate my everyday life. I'm certain it would be elevated just by his voice.

Lastly, going to see Jurassic World on Sunday. At Avengers my daughter kept her eyes covered through the entire preview for JW then whispered, "I want to see that!"

ETA: Oh, and watching some Scrubs every night as I fall asleep. LOVE that show still, but it's criminal that Netflix had to change some of the soundtrack music. Especially in key scenes. The Coral's Dreaming of You was so fucking perfect in that scene where JD and Elliot are hooking up again and it's just not the same with whatever crap song got plugged in as a replacement.

Attenborough would be bored to death if he narrated my everyday life.

I'm on the third season of The Wire and Aidan Gillen has finally made an appearance. As ever, his accent is all over the place.

Went to see Jurassic World yesterday. Excellent popcorn movie! And I got a 44 oz Icee in my Jurassic World commemorative cup. 'Merica, fuck yeah!

I've also been watching season 3 of Orange Is The New Black (up to episode 9), and recently watched Would You Rather, Nightcrawler, and the original Alien vs. Predator.

Does it get any better? I'm up to episode 4, and there doesn't really seem to be any point to this season so far.

I think it's decent so far, but I agree with you that this season seems to be missing that special something that the first two seasons had. I'm planning on finishing up the season for sure, though. I won't spoil you on who, but the backstories for episodes 6 & 7 were really good, so stick around until then at least. :)
