Coldf00t
Just rewatching Season 1 with some friends... how come Varys was speaking out for the assasination of pregnant Daenerys at the council meeting if he was actually plotting the whole Dany thing with Illyrio? Or did I miss something? Sure, maybe he didnt want to draw suspicion but then he could've just acted quietly but he was actually trying to convince Ned that this is the best thing to do. Any thoughts?
ni2tre
With Ned slowly finding out about Cersei/Jaime, Varys makes a point to Illyrio that a war is starting and that they are not ready, Khal Drogo doesn't want to invade. So they make this assassination plot to force Khal Drogo which is successful as we know later.Daenerys was never at risk because Varys most likely told Jorah Mormont about the wine in the letter he received ("I need to ride to Qohor").
