Ser Hightower
Which character in the books after "For the Watch" is going to take it upon themselves to carry Longclaw? Do you think people will fight over it (Jon Loyalists) or will it simply go to the 999th Lord Commander? I guess it all really depends how quickly Jon comes back. zammey12
I got a feeling some guy just pocketed it. Then Jon will come back and the guy will wish he just left it. Lol

Ser Hightower
Well in the books Bowen is crying. I doubt Bowen steals the sword as he obviously has mixed feelings about stabbing Jon. I bet they hold on to it until the elect the 999th LC, and he receives it as customary - until Jon comes back.
Darksnider05
None of them because in the books they didn't magically forget about the other two factions on the wall. Picking up that sword is a death sentence unless your on team murder the betrayers.
BitsOfBrains
Owen the Oaf. He has a keen eye for scavenging dead brothers. Not only will he have the best sword on the wall but also the best boots.

Lord Neddard Stark
I'm guessing the next Lord Commander will get the blade. Maybe they'll send it back to the Mormonts, Maybe they'll keep it or maybe they'll sell it. who knows.
Bright Blue Eyes
Jon keeps it. He is still Lord Commander of the NW. Bowen's faction is far too small for anything, only three members are confirmed.
tyrions sliced nose
How the hell did the morments get longclaw anyways. Makes no sense, they had a wrestling match with the iron born for bear island didnt they? Which would mean they really arent no great house worthy of a valaryian sword. Plus jeor said he had it for 500 years which is 100 years more than the starks having ice. Something fishy here imo. And Jorah has never mentioned the sword in all 5 books. Yes, House Mormont is top 150 in Westeros.

chrisdaw
Jorah talks about it doesn't he? Doesn't he tell Dany about the sword and that's why she promises him she'll give him a Valyrian sword?

Maybe Jon will be separated from Long claw and this is necessary. Maybe his true hero-sword will be a different one and add more meaning.. May it be Darksister to show his Targ lineage, Dawn, to show that Jon is the Sword of the Morning, or some other blade that could be considered light bringer. Brianstorm
Seems like it could fit with the Lannisters, Tyrion maybe? Longclaw for a short man.
tyrions sliced nose
Could it be Darksister?Thats what i was thinking, or blackfyre. Blackfyre is referred too as the "great bastard" sword that daemon blackfrye posessed.
Humble Maester
Could it be Darksister? No. It's a completely different type of sword. Unlikely to be Blackfyre either.
