Red Tiger
I always thought he would have been an excellent Doran Martell. But Alexander siddig is great as well.
Manhole Eunuchsbane
Already a thread going in GoT News, the consensus seems to bee Howland Reed. Nah, not short enough. My guess is either Euron or maybe Aerys in flashbacks. He's too dark for Howland methinks.
barristan-b
Marwyn would be interesting as hell for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3unEy4Omt-c
Nictarion
Nah, not short enough. My guess is either Euron or maybe Aerys in flashbacks. He's too dark for Howland methinks. He's supposed to be playing a really small role that has a lot of importance. Sounds like Reed to me.
Kalbear
I'm still hoping for Randyll Tarly.
Nictarion
I'm still hoping for Randyll Tarly. Hmm...he can certainly play a prick well enough.
Jabronius Maximus
Hmm...he can certainly play a prick well enough. *cocksucker FTFY Edit: I'm also hoping it's Lord Tarly. Seems like he'd be a fit to play the grizzled hardass.
Manhole Eunuchsbane
I'm still hoping for Randyll Tarly. That could work.
Blonderaven
Too old for Arthur Dayne? The bit about screen time suggests a flashback. The bit about his importance could reference his relationship to the ToJ etc etc
Samson
I hadn't considered Howland Reed but that would be amazing. Especially if they did some retro-scene young-makeups with him and Sean Bean as Ned at the ToJ. That would be most epicly epic.
assjfjgjsgjljljglgjfjsduar
Gerold Hightower in the Tower of Joy flashback. Neither Euron nor Tarly are small roles (the casting call listings emphasized that both were really good, meaty parts). Those roles also wouldn't justify the secrecy. It looks like a small role but that still has an impact; that makes it seem like almost a cameo sort of thing. It being a ToJ Kingsguard would explain why they're tight-lipped around the role's identity. He's the right age and look for Hightower, too. Lord Hanna
Tinfoil = He is Griff/Connington, who will only appear at the end of the season, hence small role.
Monoman32
Marwyn makes the most sense. He doesn't fit the roles of Euron or Tarly.
Viking
hmm.. lets try a couple of these... "The North Fucking Remembers." hmm... might be the case.. "The Kings Guard does not Fucking Run" that sounds good too... "A woman's war is in the Fucking birthing bed." this might be the case "Who do you think killed all the Fucking dragons the last time round?" though, he can do that nawthan accent, so.. "I demand trial by Fucking combat. Aaaarrrgghgh it Fucking burns!!!!!"
KingStannisFan
Not long after his time as Blackbeard... come on... he's playing Euron. It's pretty obvious. Also, the actor who plays Balon is 70 year old.. So really it makes sense.

Rise Above
Marwyn makes the most sense. He doesn't fit the roles of Euron or Tarly. I can easily see McShane playing any of the
KingStannisFan
Hey excuse me everyone.. NEWS FLASH The actor who plays Balon is 70 years old. Ian McShane is two years older than him. Why couldn't he play Euron? The Greyjoy brothers clearly are older than in the books, and Ian McShane is a good fit for this role.
JonCon's Red Beard
Wouldn't he be a bit older to be Sam's father? It's not like the show cares for these things, but Sam is supposed to be at most 20 in the show and McShane is 72. Did he have him at 50?
LatrineDiggerBrian
In the casting call for the role of Euron it says it's looking for an actor in his late 40s or 50s and that it's a "very good part". EW said the part Ian McShane is playing is small (but significant). Plus, you probably want an actor who can do fight scenes and Euron overall seems like it could be a somewhat physical role that could last 3 seasons. Doubt you'd want someone over 70 for that.
