Xray the Enforcer
I have no idea what "reasonable price" means, so I'm not even going to pay attention to that parameter. http://www.originalpenguin.com/clothing/polos/?prefn1=fitType&srule=best-matches&prefv1=Heritage Slim <-- here are some slim-fit polos. And here's a slideshow from Esquire that should give you some brands to check out, at a rather amusing spread of price-points ($20 Joe Fresh to $1,000+ Brioni): http://www.esquire.com/style/mens-fashion/g1873/polo-shirts-2014/?thumbnails&slide=1 I looked at Paul Smith as well, but their offerings right now are fug IMO. One of my coworkers wears nifty-looking slim-fit polos. I'll ask him where he gets them/what brand they are.

Bonus points for a more flattering European style cut. If you don't like them, why wear them? Unless of course you must for work or something. Raja
Marks and Spencer has decent Polo shirts for men - especially the slim fit ones. I'm not sure you have M&S in the U.S. though? (As an aside, I'm probably the last person who should be giving any fashion advice at all)

Inigima
Thanks everyone, I'll have a look. No, no M&S in the US as far as I know. 7 hours ago, Whitestripe said: If you don't like them, why wear them? Unless of course you must for work or something. I think they are kind of a sartorial no-man's land between t-shirts and button-downs, but in my current role I spend a lot of time for work in data closets, which are generally gross, and manhandling switches and other rackmount gear, which can tear up clothes. Consequently I spend a lot of time wearing jeans so that I don't mess up nicer pants (because I have already messed up nicer pants), and I don't really like the look of dress shirts with jeans. Plus I don't want to mess up those nice dress shirts.

Mlle. Zabzie
I have an important question: Dark brown over the knee boots or tan over the knee boots. Indecisiveness is killing me. http://www.zappos.com/p/vince-camuto-morra-khaki-verona/product/8791538/color/654328 http://www.zappos.com/p/franco-sarto-eckhart-dark-java/product/8793520/color/261893
Lany Freelove Cassandra
Dark brown.
Xray the Enforcer
If it were me, I'd opt for the tan. The light color is much more of a statement, they'll pair with a wider range of colors than the dark browns, plus no bullshit tassels. That said, the dark brown ones will likely be easier upkeep. Buckwheat
I like the dark brown better because of the colour and also because they do not have the zipper-like seams on the whole length. I do not mind the tassels on the brown ones.
Mlle. Zabzie
dammit! You are all saying exactly the same things I am saying in my head right now. Stupid decisions.
Iskaral Pust
Both look great but I'd choose tan because dark colors are so prevalent during boot season. You could use mink oil to protect them if they're not suede (hard to tell).

Whitestripe
Both? Actually I like the tan ones. Don't care for the tassels on the darker ones, but they are both very nice.

Mlle. Zabzie
Ok. This gives me the courage to go tan - feel like they are more versatile and I'll just have to weather proof them
Datepalm
Is it weird that the one I think is best is the version of the dark brown in tan? The color is more striking somehow that of the original tan ones and I kinda like the tassels but not the prominent seam pattern on the other tan ones. Datepalm
Aha! I was wondering why you didn't put those in the running.
Tears of Lys
I was thinking that if you didn't like the tassel, you could cut it off. Funny, I just bought a clip-on tassel for my purse. If you cut them off, send them to me!
