The original outline did say that Jon and Arya would be tormented by their feelings. It sounds really angsty and dramatic. I liked the lighter hearted yet ultimately doomed romance of Jon and Ygritte, and the childish crush/friendship between Arya and Gendry. Both Jon/Ygritte and Arya/Gendry provided some levity in books that were pretty dark and gritty otherwise. I cried when Ygritte died, and knew Arya and Gendry's friendship was doomed because of their class differences.

 

Sansa I think has a different fate. Totally convinced by the number of scenes she had with Sandor the show was careful to include. In a series that's already hacked enough of the books up, to include such means they will likely play some role later.

The show will end like the books and Jon/Sansa is just not going that way there at all so far and we are 5 out of 7 in.

We have known them as kids. But they are no kids anymore and people grow up and have sex, in fiction and in real life only unsupportive parents would deny that. Apart from that no "nudity" would be required to show a love affair or a political marriage here.

We need not be protective of the actresses's career and reputation. The actresses can make their own decisions about agreeing to nude scenes. And they have their agents and their own parents for that who are far more competent than we fans to judge the implications on their professional career.

Oh, and Masie had her first sex scene on screen recently. She even commented on that in an interview. Sophie even some more time ago already. It's done. They are spoiled. 

Come on, they wouldn't make a porn movie out of it. (They switched the camera on Theon during the rape scene (Sophie later joked that she didn't know why, because she was giving a great performance ).)

But now a question to y'all here: Do you think it is rather sure that both girls (Sansa and Maisie) will have a kind of serious relationship before the ultimate end of our beloved SOIAF? I can't really imagine it otherwise, at least in Sansa's case. But is it anyhow likely for Arya to end her storyline without any romantic encounter? Nah.

And I still wonder if there is someone among all those great people out here on the forum who wouldn't mind Sandor-Sansa, Jon-Arya...Jaimie-Brienne...Jorah-Dany. I mean, the books already say a lot, but I am fully aware that there are many who state some of these relationships as disgusting and such. I love those pairings with all my heart by myself and just cannot force anything like disgust in the my reception of them. Hm. Those bonds are just simply beautiful to me. 

And of course it does not mean that I see them all living happily until the end of times. Nope, that is certainly not the case and surely won't be in the endgame. Bittersweet GRRM said.

But I am fed up with the tune set by haters in these forums - more than in other forums unfortunately - that the showmakers and/or Martin would be sexual perverts who salivate to undress female characters and who promote rape fantasies. They are first of all professional artists who do their job and who can be criticized but should not be insulted.

Apart from that: Freedom of art means the freedom to write or to paint things many do not agree with, if political correctness turns into censorship it gets dangerous easily.

In the books: I for example disliked thirteen year old Dany getting turned on by her forced husband, her rapist as being hard to believe  But Martin wrote it, he is entitled to his story and he is entitled to try to convince me. He did not quite manage but I was willing  to suspend my disbelief because the books are great and I have trust into the overall story. But the  show was more believable  here.

Despite some sore spots I have trust into the overall plot of he show as well

Only applying it on a sexually abused child who miraculously got aroused by her abuser seems quite cheap. But let's leave it: Martin managed to convince you while he did not manage to convince me. And yet I can see the function of this plot turn  for the overall story. Though Dany later taking the initiative sexually, that is more plausible.

It's just like some posters seeing twelve year old Sansa being turned on by her attacker Sandor. Except that Martin never wrote Sansa that way and the alleged sexual attraction is very unilateral. Or Sansa developing Stockholm syndrome with Baelish..........more plausible but still in the open.

I'd rather be careful with half digested terms like that.
