Rant & Rave without repercussion S 5/S 6 speculation continued [book and show spoilers]

Okay, looks like typical Hollywood. I see some semblance to the legend they are adapting. It is one of Isis and how she goes on a paperchase for the remnants of her husband to let Anubis cobble him back together. So they gave that story to some random (male) shmuck and made it a bro-trip with Osiris. Funny.

Gawd it looks worse than 300: Rise of an empire :x

Sansa, Ramsay, Jon, LF and giant scene:

Dear god no. This is going to be appalling.

Wut?????????????  I'm a bit behind, okay, waaaaaaaaaaaaay behind on news and all, is there something to this list of characters, plus a giant, in the spoiler or rumor area??  I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or just.......sigh and pick up my book again.  I did GOOD on my reread at the dr's office today, LOL

About 3 pages back. I'm also rarely around these days......mainly as every time I hear anything it is more depressing D&D supercoolawesomedudebroness.

How about "Borrowed a few names from A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin"

or "Very loosely based on a summary of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire made by Steve the Intern"

This show is to the books as Velveeta is to cave-aged Emmenthaler. As Night Train is to Dom Perignon. As a Yugo is to a Ferrari.

They are apparently all filming in a scene together at Winterfell. What the fuck seems to sum it up nicely.

Where are they?  I don't see them when I'm in the reply screen.  Any and all help appreciated.   Thanks!     :(

when you are in the reply screen, press the smiley emoticon face and then select the catagories option in the upper right of the emoticon pop up window. That's how I found them.

Hi guys, glad to see the love and appreciation thread still running, no doubt each and every one of you eagerly anticipating another splendid season of 'Blood, Death, Boobs, Dragons!', this one featuring all the missing bits from previously adapted books (some of which possibly narrated by Batfinger in a wide range of British accents) and continuing D&D's tradition of innovative storytelling by completely jumbling up the chronology of the source material! Wow, just when you thought they had exhausted every conceivable way in which to improve on GRRM's work... Hats off, D's!

Anyway, I myself have been a bit remiss, but I have a big big heart, one that's overflowing with love and the most profound admiration for all the trouble taken by D&D in trimming ASOIAF of all nuance and any coherent structure and tailoring it to my vapid, misogynistic, homophobic sensibilities, so that it was inevitable that I continue my tribute to these two fine craftsmen.

DD Comix presents:

Porne - Chapter 2: Bad Pussy

Hope you enjoy!

Sansa, Ramsay, Jon, LF and giant scene:

Dear god no. This is going to be appalling.

I just saw that and my mind was racing to understand how that could be a good scene that wouldn't make me want to poke out my eyeballs. Yes-the book has references to her slaying a giant in Winterfell-and nobody thinks its an actual giant. People think its LF because his family crest used to be Titan (they came from Braavos). So Maybe the giant shows up and everyone is so distracted Sansa takes the opportunity to slit LF's throat? After she steps over LF's corpse, she walks Ramsay like a dog on a chain to the tree where she'd married him in front of the old gods and let's John hack him to pieces as a blood sacrifice?

Or will the giant just be a big fake nod to the books as LF talks his way out of trouble again, Ramsay escapes with his life and 10 good men and Sansa is forced back to the scene of her rape to be a chew toy they can all tug at until she breaks? Based on previous examples... It doesn't look promising.

Either way, none of this has anything to do with her, nor is this any sort of a proper story, she's just a piece of cardboard, to be humiliated and degraded, then take revenge, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Nothing is just nothing. They should have killed her off, so they couldn't mess with her anymore.

They might. Who knows? But I think they know the kind of backlash they'd get just from the show only audience if she died without getting some piece of justice for everything they've done to her the last 5 seasons.
