Reports of several shootings in the Bataclan when the attackers took control of the building. Apparently the Eagles of Death Metal were playing when the attack began, so the place may have been packed (Paris has a banging heavy metal scene). That doesn't change anything, but I was just listening to a recent interview they did on my favorite podcast; somehow that makes this feel a lot more real. Now sounds like it was one restaurant rather than two.The French police have upped the total to 35, unconfirmed reports of 40. Estimates of hostages at the Bataclan now at 100.As always, remember the social media fog of war. But it's clear that this is a huge incident.
