Magnar of Skagos
I noticed this the first time I looked in the world book, in one of the depictions of Dragonstone.http://i1.wp.com/www.tor.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/World-of-Ice-and-Fire-Dragonstone-crop.jpg?fit=475%2C 9999&crop=0%2C0%2C100%2C303pxhttp://awoiaf.westeros.org/images/a/a5/Dragonstone.jpgThe art may be a bit hard to see in these pictures. However, I did notice that the eponymous dragons on the castle appear quite similar in appearance to the dragons from Skyrim. I mean, if you zoom in close enough, you'll see that even the spine-ridges on both dragons are the same, and just about everything else. Here's another picture.Has anyone else noticed this? Thoughts? Am I just seeing things?
Lion of the West
Given Asoiaf's great influence across the Fantasy genre I see no reason as to why it wouldn't have influence in this way as well.

HexMachina
The art of Dragonstone as a whole is reminiscent of Barad-Dur from LOtR actually. At least that was my first impression
Beorn Snow
I immediatly thought of Tolkien rather than Skyrim. In the end, this is not terribly original art.
The Fattest Leech
My son plays Skyrim and he watches (edited) GoT episodes with me and he reads through the World book. He is constantly pointing out design, style, and story similarities. I have to say that there are quite a bit. This was a great catch. The Dragonstone pic detail is tiny! Blackfyre Bastard
The artist probably took dragons from different sources for inspiration. Compare this dragon: http://res1.windows.microsoft.com/resbox/en/Windows 7/main/3c097b51-73fd-4750-bc13-aaa6a4c7f37e_5.jpg with the dragon at the bottom center of the castle (you're probably going to need to zoom in the second picture to see the detail.)Also, something that has chafed me a bit since I saw the art of ASoIaF, but also from Skyrim, is that the dragons are actually wyverns.
