Dr. Pepper
What about On Demand? If you're already paying for a package for Syfy, you almost surely have that channel On Demand on your tv. I know for sure (in my area at least, not sure if areas are different), the full season of 12 monkeys is available on demand with uverse, xfinity and directv and I would assume it would be available across all cable platforms. MisterOJ
Nope. I have cable through my local municipality. I get it super cheap (with super fast Internet), but the one downside is that they don't offer any sort of On Demand services.
karaddin
Finally got to catch up on the last two episodes. Pretty chuffed about calling them visiting the Anubis before heading to Eros. The tension leading up to the shoot out in the flop house was great, and Wes is absolutely killing it as Amos. He already fit my image of Amos and he's just cemented it with his performance. It's just how amiable he is while discussing pretty brutal subjects. With where they have left it now, I'm actually wondering if we'll get further than I thought - I thought it was going to end on them escaping Eros, but it's entirely possible they'll either drop Thoth station entirely, or fold that into the next season and still manage to crash Eros into Venus this season. 'Leviathan Wakes' doesnt say vomit zombies to me, it says the station waking up - in the book it sits there for a long time before it wakes. 'Critical Mass' on the other hand very much says vomit zombies and radiation, so I figure next episode has everything going to hell in a hurry, Holden and Miller getting irradiated, vomit zombies storming the huddled masses in the casino and Holden and Miller getting away. Finale can skip over the medical treatment for the irradiation for the most part, Eros comes to life and they take off after it, Fred fires the Nauvoo at it, Earth fires the missiles, Holden hijacks those and to quote Anderson Dawes - Miller hits rock bottom, sees what truly matters to him, and sees his path is clear. This was foreshadowed both with that Dawes conversation and with the Mormon. Eros crashes into Venus, and end season. I think it would work well. Pacing wise I think it might be better to drop Thoth station if they do finish off Eros in this manner, as it allows the time skip to still take place, but if they don't it can easily be done then as the next phase of testing is kicking off on Ganymede. Pliskin
Well, if they keep the same pace, we'd have that in ten years. Meaning probably never. I hope it's just the first season that they needed the slow pace to introduce everything.
Steinman
I think a big portion of episode 9 will be a Julie Mao flashback and it will end with things starting to go to hell on Eros. Episode 10 may have the station waking up in the last half of it. If they do merge the two evil corporations from LW and CW they will probably skip Thoth and even have the season ending with Eros crashing into Venus. DaveSumm
Quick question: is this a Season 1 / Book 1 spoiler thread, or a Season 1 ALL books spoiler thread? Shame the TV only thread didn't take off. Great series though, I'd almost forgotten how much I liked SciFi. Gonna start the book now.
Arkash
I really hesitated to try and liven up the Show Only thread but I had the feeling I'd feel quite alone there, so I use that one and try to avoid the biggest spoilers, although I couldnt escape it all ! ^^

I vote for Book 1 only spoilers, but I'm sure I'm in the minority and its a bit late. I've only read to book 4, unfortunately spoiled for book 5 now. karaddin
Ok I've now realised there isn't an ep1/ep2 for the finale, it's just a two hour finale as they recut it to fit together. I feel even more strongly that it's going to get further than I was initially fearing.

I think that's a good prediction. I feel like they've mentioned the Mormons and the Nauvoo too much to have it pay off next season. In that case, most of the whodunnit part will be next season, and Avarasala will be more heavily involved.

red snow
It's definitely a change when I feel a show should have more episodes in a season rather than less. It felt like a "pilot" season overall in that it's really good but felt like it was only just getting going. The fact it's getting another season makes me feel it was a "pilot" season concept. Sort of like how syfy would do 10 eps of stargate/BSG take a 2 month break and then return with the back 10. I felt the finale could have had more oomph and vomit zombies though - mainly to give people new to the story some spectacle.
Red Tiger
Can someone point out to me why people think this series is so great? I am enjoying it and I think it's good but im just not seeing why this series is great and i've watched each episode, some more than once to see if I missed something special. Corvinus85
Somewhat disappointed in the lack of vomit zombies, and I'm not sure they ended it at the right spot. I suppose they wanted to go for increasing the depth of the mystery as much as possible without giving too much away (by showing us that thing at the end "leviathan wakes" and giving us the name of the secret discovery). Also I suppose the two main characters almost dying due to radiation poisoning was one of the main parts of the finale. Imo, at the pace they chose, which I don't mind at all, they should have added another 3 episodes. But the 2 hour finale did have plenty of good things, and it did set up some things nicely for the 2nd season: We might actually get pissed off Avasarala next season. I liked her little speech to her husband at the end. Fred Johnson's speech also set up the next phase in the Earth-Mars-OPA conflict. Miller starting to see Julie in his mind. I also liked the Julie flashback - it definitely helped tie the plot together better. The Roci crew has a new destination. We got to see the faces of some of the main villains. And of course, Amos was once again on point.
