The Three Whores
Anyone have any ideas on what the population of the Stepstones may be. We now a a decent amount of the Rhoynish settled there. It possible that some descendants of the First Men may live their, who survived the breaking of the Arm of Dorne. I'd say there have been some refugees fleeing Essos during the Century of Blood or some other times.Just glancing at the map, the amount of space the islands cover seems about even with the Iron Islands. The Stepstones are probably a bit more fertile than the Iron Islands, yet I doubt the population is much higher since we know the islands are common targets for slavers and pirates. So taking that into consideration, I'm going to take a guess of maybe 300,000 people living on all the islands together. It shoudn't be too difficult for that number to support themselves, as Hawaii had a population between 200,000-1,000,000 before the Europeans discovered them and the Hawaiian people was decimated by the new diseases brought to them. mediterraneo
I can envision a definite "stepstoner" identity too, given that people here is result of a mix of so much different influences from people that had no chance to go back where they came from.
