Unsullieds independence

Unsullied are all loyal all the time, right?

"Tell her all their names are such," Kraznys commanded the girl. "It reminds them that by themselves they are vermin. The name disks are thrown in an empty cask at duty's end, and each dawn plucked up again at random."

But that's not the case, her Unsullied are named after gods and heroes. They wear their names with pride like Greyworm.

She's making them more independent. And honestly, they seem more independent then they were first made out to be.

"Worship," Grey Worm said, "this one and his brothers beg your leave to bathe in the salt sea when our work here is done, that we might be purified according to the laws of our great goddess."

The queen had not known that the eunuchs had a goddess of their own.

"Who is this goddess? One of the gods of Ghis?"

Grey Worm looked troubled. "The goddess is called by many names. She is the Lady of Spears, the Bride of Battle, the Mother of Hosts, but her true name belongs only to these poor ones who have burned their manhoods upon her altar. We may not speak of her to others. This one begs your forgiveness."

Strange, are independent Unsullied good for Dany?

Tested, despite some fans tendency to believe Kraznys and label them mindless robots/automatons, they are clearly far from that.  Loyal, to Daenerys yes, for now they are - because she provided them a taste of freedom, and a hope for the people of Essos who might otherwise become unsullied like them.
