Emmit, if I've guessed correctly I really had fun with your start sentence Emmit.

Bucky,  well erm some people can't see.      like my Kangaroo with a joey in its pouch got seen as a chocolate bunny.

Bucky try Bing translator   or  http://tradukka.com/translate/en/tlh?hl=en

and erm pick a fictional language for the one you can't get.

I also feel I should complain about one of the starting sentences.     Hint A sentence  = God created the dinosaurs.        - Any more and it becomes a paraghaps.   Yes I know where that came from.  you still get a Probing.   :fencing:

That would be me.

That's pretty cool. Seems there were a lot of men who did that sort of thing in the early 1900's (and earlier). It just seems so unexpected, but I keep hearing these kinds of stories

My grandfather abandoned his first family in Connecticut, assumed a new name and ran off with my grandmother (he was 34, she was 17)

It has taken DNA testing to prove who my grandfather was, as there are no records to prove any of it. (I am actually working on a commercial for ancestry.com about it :P )

I drew that one first and it could all be semicolons instead of periods :P

And my "tester" got the whole thing correct by the third scene (but then it was about Dinosaurs :P )

I will say that mine is family lore, not family fact. I believe mine left his family behind in Kansas to find work, and was later discovered in California (Oregon? Washington? Oklahoma?) with a second family. Technically it was a great or great-great grandfather, but still.

The Ronald McDonald was misunderstood.

She was just a lady with red hair when I drew her.

Are you people implying that was Emmit's starting sentence? I was positive it was yours! :D

The God chain was a really great drawing when I saw it, but then it was more a whole comic than one drawing, and I really wanted to shorten it.

It wasn't mine :P When I saw it, I did laugh. It truly could have come from me.  I really am surprised by how many of those stories are out there

I might have drawn the whole comic dino picture. ok, I did draw a whole comic dino picture, but that doesn't mean it was the one you saw :)

Well erm  You so wanted languages and to see us all struggle, so I wrote my first sentence for you.   in Klingon.   (I then used a different fictional language each time)  and well since its Klingon the Gagh and blood wine came naturally.     btw  I tried very hard to translate Buckwheat   but since Klingon's don't have a word for Buck, or stag or deer,  and flower translates back as heaven and earth I couldn't.

I had major fun with the God Chain.

Oh it was Austria not Australia.     I even put corks on the hat.   oh and that horse hood badge on the  Ferrari took me ages.

loving these so far.  you are all awesome

Also need to say  there is no month in dothraki,   hence Year divided by 12.

Edit  -  Oh  and I want it on record.   I did not make a divine porn movie using electric shock probes.     my little film was all innocent and totally misinterpreted.

Thank you to everyone who played! I had a lot of fun with your translations and am actually really impressed with how little was lost in translation. Let the record show that I didn't once have to tell anyone which language their sentence was.

I also want to give 2 special bonus points to Leap for being the first to comment on Bucky being the Harry Potter/Pebble of this round AND for figuring out Pebble was the one doing the figures.

Special :bowdown:to Pebble for all that work!

And of course, bonus :grouphug: to Lany for playing every single round of this game despite silly medical problems.

Can't wait to actually participate next game! :D

I don't know what's up with Grandfather's but my family has a similar story. Unfortunately I'm a bit fuzzy on the details but I believe it's my great-great grandfather.

IIRC he had a fling with my great-great-grandmother when he was in his late teens and she was in her late 20s resulting in my great-grandmother. Of course, it was a big scandal because of the age difference and the fact that they were not married. Eventually he settled down with another woman and started a "real" family. So essentially there's this whole part of my family tree that was not acknowledging our branch for many many years.

:lol: All of those are great.

TC, thank you for hosting, you were wonderful!

And ... Pebble. Are you bored? You put us all to shame with your, er, "drawings".

Fun seeing people mixing up Monday and Sunday all the time. :P

Sure there was lots of "Buckwheat" in here. It is amusing to see how some people translated it and some not.

Will the Doodlebug Doodler now please step forward so they can be properly probed for not being able to tell the difference between Germany and America? :P

Pebbsie, was the Austria/Australia thing on purpose?

*watches the God video on repeat*

Yeah it was me. Forgot I had entered anonymously, oops!

In my defence, at first I didn't realise it was a country. And then when I did, I saw Lany which made me think US. And there were dogs in the South, which made me think of sniffer, who is down that way I think. And it does look vaguely America shaped.

 to Pebs. We are not worthy...and sorry for turning your film into a religious porno. Though I don't remember it being a film when I described it, I only recall stills...

thanks for hosting TC  had great fun
