Mladen
Here we go again... At the end of very long award season, the time has finally come to award "the best and whitest". What was a joke last year, caused quite the havoc this year. Havoc that sadly but most likely will end tomorrow. Until of course, next January. On the other thing, this year is one of the most boring, because the winners are practically set in stone and according to pundits, we shouldn't expect many surprises. Theda Baratheon
I hope Fury Road wins a few. I really want Jennifer Jason Leigh to win for supporting actress as well but I know she won't. I want the Martian to win for something as well. Would love Damon to bag a win for beat actor but that's just because I enjoyed The Martian so much and like...I can't stand Eddie Redmayne??? Just don't like him and didn't much like the look of The Danish Girl. Looked like cynical oscar bait trying to cash in on the awareness of LGBT issues and transgender awareness. I read an excellent review written by a trans woman who takes the film completely apart and explains just how bad it is and why. I DON'T want him to win best actor for it. Yeah I'm usually against the term "oscar bait" but that does seem entirely what Redmayne is going for here. Last year: 'Inspiring' biopic about a man suffering from a disability and now 'inspiring' biopic about a transgender woman. If he wins this year is he just going to keep doing it? What kind of 'inspiring' biopic can we expect next year?

I don't know what it is about him but I'm just not fond of him at all and don't want him to have a second win especially not for this movie. Corvinus85
Chris Rock was good, but I wished he would have given some time to making fun of the movies nominated. I really liked his men/women awards line. Of course, it will be a long while til that happens.

Winterfell is Burning
Alicia Vikander almost certainly wouldn't have won this without the Ex Machina votes (some of the votes by Academy members that appeared on the press even confirmed this) Two awards to Mad Max already, nice. Although I have to say Sandy Powell deserved the Oscar this year. Between Cinderella and Carol, her work was outstanding. 16 minutes ago, Winterfell is Burning said: Alicia Vikander almost certainly wouldn't have won this without the Ex Machina votes (some of the votes by Academy members that appeared on the press even confirmed this) Two awards to Mad Max already, nice. Yeah, strong year helps. Winslet had that in 2008. Although I have to say I preferred her in real supporting role - Ex Machina.
