Dropping OUAT too? Same here. I'll finish out Season 5, since there are only a couple of episodes left, but it's stopped even being a guilty pleasure now. Not even slightly entertaining at this point. Oh well.

For some reason I thought you participated in the Orphan Black thread and was going to point out that will be a new addition soon but now I see you don't. I'm going barmy.

You're purging all your superhero shows? I don't watch Flash or Arrow, but I do watch Gotham/Supergirl/LoT. I think Season 2 of Gotham has been much better than the first, but I heard Fish is returning in these final 2 episodes which alone might be enough for me not to return. Supergirl isn't bad, it's just the definition of average. The one thing it had going for it was decent visual effects, but with the move from CBS the budget cut it is really going to effect it. LoT is straight horrible though. I don't really have anything good to say about it. Kendra is one of the worst characters on TV right now. Also surprised to see Vikings up there. I was already down on Season 3 and with The Last Kingdom having a good first season, I really needed to see more out of that first half of Vikings Season 4. Good to see somebody else watches The Blacklist here. Next week is the finale.

OUAT was the victim of my great 2015 purge, with Castle and Blacklist.

Did Castle go off the rails?

Yes. They thought they could continue without female lead but the backlash was too great and then ABC finally cancelled it.

These are shows I am watching or will be this year

Won't miss these shows

Game of Thrones

Better Call Saul

The Walking Dead

Limitless

The Big Bang Theory

Survivor

Hells Kitchen

Vikings

I make a point to watch these

Mr. Robot

Masterchef

Daredevil

House of Cards

Fear the walking dead

Silicon Valley

Barely hanging on

Gotham

Blindspot

Quantico

My tops haven't changed any. Havent started season 2 of Daredevil yet, saving it for summer when the rest of the shows are gone.

Pretty much only watching Quantico to see it end, if I thought it was going to have another season I would have stopped already.

Blindspot has picked up a little but is still on life support.

Gotham, was going to say this season was better but I hear Fish is back next week. If so and she is the same, I am done.

The Last Panthers has been better than I hoped. The finale is next week. The best show I am currently watching and one of my top 5s this year

Outlander has been slightly disappointing this season. I was excited for Paris, but am actually missing Scotland. Claire and Jamie are becoming tiring.

Penny Dreadful has been great as usual. Only two episodes so far, but addictive.

The Night Manager is entertaining but the plot is willing a few too many coincidences and unlikely events. I'm nitpicking more and more with each episode.

The Girlfriend Experience has been a very pleasant surprise. None of the characters are even close to likeable, but I find the main character fascinating. It helps that she is portrayed by Riley Keough. It's based loosely or inspired by the Soderbergh film of the same title. Basically a second-year law student that becomes an escort while also juggling an internship with a prestigious law firm in Chicago's Loop. It's really a character study more than anything else.

I haven't watched, I think, the lat 7 episodes of OUAT, but I've been recording them. I keep telling myself that I'll find a day to do a marathon and finish out the season, but I'm not sure I can stomach all that silliness in one sitting.

I actually watched the first episode of OB a while ago, but it didn't grab me, and I had plenty of shows to watch at the time.

I also need to catch up on Killjoys, before season 2.

I think I have superhero fatigue, and the quality is just not there for most of them. I'm still watching the movies that are being released, but that's 2-3 a year, compared with so many episodes for so many shows. Gotham tends to have better characters than the others, mostly the villains, but I find myself bored by most plots. And I found Supergirl to be just as silly as the Flash/Arrow. It's visual effects fluctuate between decent and terrible. In particular I find the fight choreography to be extremely bad. And the finale was crap (Superman flies into space all the time, yet suddenly Supergirl can't).

Vikings is becoming a guilty pleasure. I'm committed until Ragnar dies. We'll see afterwards.

The Blacklist has gone up on my list thanks to the last few episodes. They pulled off a ballsy move there, and I like how they dealt with the aftermath, so far.

Also, I should mention that The Walking Dead is on the verge of being purged, too, thanks to the stunt they pulled in the season finale.

What did you think about that Blacklist finale?!

Well, somewhat disappointed with Liz's return, because I liked the move they pulled earlier, but I suppose I was not totally surprised. I did like that these people managed to so completely play with the emotions of the #1 criminal mastermind in the world, and just turn him upside down. I will definitely tune in next season, but I think the writers should start preparing for a conclusion. I hope that everything about Liz's origins finally comes to light next season.

As this is an asoiaf board, I won't be including Game of Thrones on this list for obvious reasons.

Ranked by order of personal preference

1. The People vs OJ Simpson (By some significant distance, the best new show on tv and best show this year, period. If you haven't seen it, go see it)

2. Fargo

3. The Americans

4. Mr Robot

5. Better Call Saul

6. House of Cards

7. Girls

I don't have a lot of time to watch a lot of television so thats it.

Really? I'll be including it, and it won't be #1. Trust me on that. And most people who post here won't either, unless their opinion of the show drastically improved this season.

Exactly why I didn't want to include it on the list. Although its universally loved by most, I find its quite polarising on this site so no need to spark outrage unnecessarily although I realise I've probably inadvertently done just that.

  2. Daredevil  S2
  3. The Expanse  S1
  4. Star Wars Rebels  S2
  5. Limitless  S1
  6. House of Cards  S4
  7. The Blacklist  S3
  8. Grimm  S5
  9. Outlander S2
  10. Sherlock: The Abominable Bride
  11. Game of Thrones S6
  12. The Walking Dead  S6
  13. Vikings  S4
  14. Brooklyn 99  S3
  15. Elementary  S4
  16. Agents of SHIELD  S3
  17. The Big Bang Theory  S9
  18. Once Upon A Time  S5  Moved this up, after finally catching up with the last episode. Other than the ridiculous season finale, most of it wasn't that bad.
  19. Arrow  S4
  20. Agent Carter  S2   due to cancellation
  21. Gotham  S2
  22. Supergirl  S1
  23. The Flash  S2  I moved this one down a spot, because of its terrible season finale, not that it matters much.
  24. Legends of Tomorrow  S1
  25. The Shannara Chronicles  S1

Penny Dreadful still too early to peg, but it's looking at the top 3 spots.

Not too early for me, next week we are officially over half way :crying:

eta: wait you are doing more than just 2916 shows? If so I can add a lot more to my list (iZombie  )

My update (some are still ongoing and so subject to change;

Update:

1) Penny Dreadful Season 3

2) Orphan Black Season 4 (I went back and forth whether this was number 1 or not, but a few niggling problems with the plot just keep me from putting it there)

3) Peaky Blinders Season 3 (only three episodes so far, but then that is half a season, and I have really enjoyed every episode and loved all of the performances)

4) Daredevil Season 2

5) War and Peace

6) BBC's Undercover

7) House of Cards Season 4

8) Love (Netflix Original Comedy)

9) Vikings Season 4a

10) OUAT (-1 after the finale and couple of episodes before hand because WTF was that?!)

Exactly, I need to wait until halfway of a season to decide. ^_^

Not sure what you mean by more than 2016. All the seasons I listed are from 2016. Edit: Well some may have started in 2015, but the bulk of the episode was this year (or I just judged the episodes shown this year)

Nevermind me, I realise now it's just a typo (You have Vikings S3, and I didn't bother to check whether you had S4 listed too)

Ahh, thanks for that. Seasons, who bothers counting them? :P I had to look on wikipedia for several shows to figure out which season they were at.
