Walder Waters Posted March 30, 2016 Share Posted March 30, 2016 Just thinking whether or not Dany's vision in the HotU ("From a smoking tower, a great stone beast took wing breathing shadow fire.") could be referencing to what will happen in the Vale. A few aspects that could be connect to that somehow: - the phrase "seeking the wings" is used serveral times in the Alayne chaper in TWOW. - House Grafton ruled Gulltown. Her every word and gesture was more potent, and she could do things that she had never done before. Such shadows as I bring forth here will be terrible, and no creature of the dark will stand before them. - From a smoking tower, a great stone beast took wing, breathing shadow fire. . . - She's the only one with an explicit connection to stone beasts, shadows and fire. - She's wanted to summon a stone dragon for ages, and at the Wall she's super-powered. - Shireen is the ultimate sacrifice - completely innocent, undiluted king's blood, Stannis' most meaningful sacrifice - so her burning should have a major effect.
