At this point, GOT is not only too big to fail but also to care.  This show is worldwide. If the Beatles where around now(not that much of a fan, only using for dramatic purposes) that famous line would read " we're bigger than Game of Thrones". There is no other excuse for this type of sloppy writing & plot progression/direction, sexism, homophobia, racism, etc etc other than "you're still gonna watch".

NAILED IT! Enough said!

I just pointed out that Westeros looks set to forfeit a home game against the White Walkers. At the rate that D$D are killing everybody off nobody will be left to fight! Oh no, maybe D$D are working with them, maybe D$D are White Walkers.

I agree with your overall point, but it should be noted that Robert E. Howard (Conan's author) adapted that from a quote attributed to Genghis Khan.

In his Compendium of Chronicles, Rashid-al-Din Hamadini quotes Genghis Khan as saying, "The greatest enjoyment of a man is to overcome his enemies, drive them before him, snatch what they have, to see the people to whom they are dear with their faces bathed in tears, to ride their horses, to squeeze in his arms their daughters and women."

Translations vary, of course.

That sounds like what'd D$D are trying to do to GRRMs work!

I also want to mention that "BAD PUSSY" was in the 'previously on' segment.  That is Dan and Dave again saying fuck you to their critics.  You didn't like the bad pussy, too bad bitches, we got our Emmys yo. Why else call attention to it except as a middle finger gesture?

Exactly.

You know, it could have just come at the end of an all the shit that made me feel this way. But no one said it, in barely comprehensible English, like Arnold. Where was the Nietzschean pushing of the wheel seeking the will to power? The riddle of steel? There is so much more to that film than that single throw away line so often quoted. Of course, these writers would try to take it and make it their own. Poorly.

Okay but what about: Ramsay Sue ~ Bring me to life

Great!

I also imagined "Oops I did it again" to Jaime returning with his 2nd child killed on his watch. (Hit me Cersei one more time...i).

What about a Sandsnakes fan vid to the unforgettable "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"? Y'know, with their best fight scenes! Slapsies! Kinslaying!

I wish I was capable of doing this stuff; I'm sure we'd come up with something suitable for St. Tyrion, too...

I hate the bad white pussy :(((

Joking aside, what the hell kind of mess was Dorne? Now there is no ruler, no heir, no nothing in Dorne. Are we to believe that the bastard paramour of the last ruler's brother (who kills the ruler) will sit on the throne now? That's just crazy. Will Obara sit on the throne? I mean, what's the end game? Is there one even??

The show has never explicitly determined there is no other Martell (a female, possibly Arianne) running around.  With the lack of Dornish Laws of succession, the show pretty much outright confirmed Trystane is the heir to Sunspear but it's entirely possible at Sunspear there's a female Dornish heir that the Sand Snakes/ Ellaria/ D&D don't hate so much.  It's a stretch but there's nothing in the show to prove otherwise at this point in time.

I have stated it in the Ranting thread, but I'll do it again: THere is no Dornish endgame. They'll pretend Dorne never happened, that's also the reason why Carol wasn't swearing vengeance or anything. I dare to say there will be no repercussions seen whatsoever that don't affect the Lannisters.

Of course there is none. They're making everything up as they go. There's backtracking and retconning all over the place. I bet it's been years they read any of the books. GRRM may have told them what he's planning and even then they have no obligation to follow that. But I think they'll try anyway in their half-assed way and fail big time, like they always do. See, I think they don't really care. So there is no endgame for any of the storylines, because, they change things on a whim. You know, everything makes sense to them creatively, because they want it to happen. Screw logic, story progression, consistency, character motivations, plot, themes etc.

I can't believe this has 1,400 upvotes on the Song of Ice and Fire subreddit, not even the GoT one.  It's the subreddit for the so-called "bookwalkers."  Really embarrassing, honestly...

Hey look at me. Someone likes something that I don't. How dare they.

I guess Ellaria will push for her daughter to be legitimised and then Bronn get his happy ending ruling Porne.

That wouldn't be too bad, since surprisingly they kept Bronn alive last year, and he is literally the only thing that could make anything related to Dorne or the Sand Snakes bearable in any way, shape or form.
