David Cpnn writes here about the situation and cover-up lasting decades.
Rorshach
It's good that the verdict has - finally - arrived. Shocking how long it took.
Talleyrand
Must be music to the ears of the families, I can't imagine what it's like to have to fight for 27 years to hear it. Ingham has refused to apologise for his letter it seems, even the Sun already apologised a few years back didn't they?
James Arryn
Someone tell Robert Carlyle ASAP.

Nugget1229
This is awesome for the families but I'm a tad confused. I watched the ESPN 30 for 30 Soccer Stories: Hillsborough and I thought they had determined that it was a police cock up or was that just the first step in many to get to this point? http://espn.go.com/30for30/film?page=hillsborough
mormont
Very happy for the families. Naturally, The Sun have decided to push the verdict to p8 and 9 of their paper. The headline story is that David Cameron uses WhatsApp. Clearly more newsworthy, as is Rita Ora's love life and Philip Green's knighthood: no space left on the front page for even a word about the longest inquest in British legal history. Kind of makes that whole apology thing look hollow, doesn't it?

I'm surprised they even devoted two pages to it and didn't cram a passing mention into a side column somewhere
Maltaran
The Times and the Mail also didn't have it on the front page (although to be fair, the Mail has a banner line saying "see page 14")
