Rickard Grymes
I was wondering what plans Bloodraven had for getting Bran beyond the Wall. Sam wandering in the wilderness came extremely conveniently: without that big mess of a massacre at the Fist, and the mutiny at Craster's, there would hardly have been any Night's Watch men there to open up the Black Gate. So what do you think: did good ol' Bloods have a pale, wrinkled hand in arranging those merry little events, or did he plan to have Bran and company chill in the Nightfort till some stray crow happened to pass by? Macgregor of the North
I do think BR had a hand in events, he is definitely present(along with the children most likely) in the form of Ravens when they help Sam and Gilly escape the Wights attacking them. So he seems to have been keeping an eye on Sam and helping him.
