That's just the worst argument ever. Are we supposed to pretend that 1 person being terrified is functionally the same as 1 million, and that we shouldn't bother paying attention to the million people because of that one person?

Secondly, I'm clearly talking about anger inspired by Trump's candidacy, not the anger that inspires it. Both are dangerous, of course. But the latter is a problem Trump is aggravating to take advantage of: he has no interest in solving it. And the former is a phenomenon he's creating. Anger is driving Trump\s candidacy, yes: but Trump's candidacy is also driving the anger.
