In any case, the ancient texts that Sam found already mention dragonsteel and dragonglass, so it is not completely bonkers. Regardless, most likely the wall was made from simply rock and ice and the magic depends on weirwoods (let's remember that the secret magic door in the wall seemed like it.) But Cat, in her first chapter, says his Ice is only 400 years old. It's an interesting take but the Wall was around thousands of years before VS or Targs came to Westeros. CotF magic is more likely than Valyrian Magic. Like I see the connection, but it would be hard to miss the fact that a 700 foot wall was made of valyrian steel. Also, VS seems more like an essosi thing.
