[THEORY]: The Wall is made of Valyrian steel

If you believe the legends, the Wall was built long before Valyrian steel would have been available. Dragonglass, though, would be a good alternative.

What's the formula for valyrian steel? Iron, Carbon and dragon fire? Are we entirely sure it couldn't have been made before with another name?

In any case, the ancient texts that Sam found already mention dragonsteel and dragonglass, so it is not completely bonkers. Regardless, most likely the wall was made from simply rock and ice and the magic depends on weirwoods (let's remember that the secret magic door in the wall seemed like it.)

Ice (the sword) is made of Valyrian steel

Valyrian steel is forged with spells and magic

The Wall is made of ice and magic

The Wall was forged with Valyrian steel inside of it

The Ice Ned used was just a replacement for the original (sorry I forget where I read that at the moment). But Cat, in her first chapter, says his Ice is only 400 years old. We don't know what the original Ice was, but I would guess it was similar to Dawn which is not Valyrian Steel

Welcome!  It's an interesting take but the Wall was around thousands of years before VS or Targs came to Westeros.  CotF magic is more likely than Valyrian Magic.

I feel you are on to something but just to the left of it, ya know what I mean. Like I see the connection, but it would be hard to miss the fact that a 700 foot wall was made of valyrian steel. Also, VS seems more like an essosi thing. I am pretty sure all the VS was brought over from Valyria.

Still, I like the idea. I it is just...ya know....not there yet.

Valyrian steel is spell-forged. This is dumb. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Also, DAVE, how would the Horn of Winter bring it down?

Let's talk real theories like Sansa marrying Daenerys

WargBran/Rhaegar + L = J all day.

Valyria wasn't around when the Wall was buit. The Wall was built 12000-10000 years ago and Valyria was found 5000-3000 years ago.
