Philokles
One of the great traditions of the Euros - a match blighted by torrential rain.
The Killer Snark
Those Ukrainian women in the audience are gorgeous. I'd like to cuddle them to keep them warm in the rotten weather that's going on.

The Killer Snark
The Ukrainian girls are better to look at than a lot of the football going on.

Corvinus85
There's a mummer's farce going on now. I guess one of the officials really was speaking Greek.

Corvinus85
And that's that. Well done Northern Ireland.
The Killer Snark
Well, congrats to N. Ireland. I've been frustrated by the game, but you can't begrudge them that. Bafflingly flat performance by Ukraine. They were bordering on plain awful, whenever they attacked.

Consigliere
Wow. Great result for NI. Missed the game unfortunately. I'm still a bit confused as to why Loew is using Gotze as a false #9. If this is the starting XI he prefers then wouldn't it make more sense for Mueller and Gotze to swap positions? Mueller isn't an out-an-out #9 either but has played in that position before and is a far more accomplished goalscorer than Gotze having scored at least 20 goals in his last four seasons. Lord Pumpkin
Dutch ref. Will we see many (any) fouls called on the Poles.
The Killer Snark
Might be an upset. The Poles beat Germany in their first qualifying match. Scotland, in the same qualifying group, almost beat Germany at Hampden. The reason we lost was that our keeper committed first degree fuck ups to let in two extremely soft goals. Lord Pumpkin
Ireland also beat Germany in the qualis. I don't think the Germans minded much. They're traditionally pure strong in tournaments. By the first 10mins here, Poland are pulled back going hard for the nil all.
