Why wouldn't ramsay just shoot Jon if he can hit Rickon through the heart at that distance.

The point was to get Jon angry and have him charge, thereby forcing Jon's cavalry to charge. If he killed Jon, then Ramsay's forces would have to initiate, going into what could be a trap, or at best incurring heavy losses and having enemy cavalry gain the advantage.

the battle was epic but the tactics seemed stupid

Jon is a crappy battle commander if he let's another commander play him like that.  Ramsey played himmlike a violin.  It took riping off Tolkien to get him out of the jam he had created.

I don't think she knew when they will arrive.. or if they will ...

Yeah she didnt hear an answer from LF, so she wasnt certain. What she was shouting at Jon about is hinting on waiting for an answer. She wanted some sure sign they would come. Its why she kept pushing to wait. But they showed up anyway.

Yes, Sansa told him what would happen. She said Jon thought he was laying a trap, but Ramsay is the one who lays traps. Jon's plan was to get Ramsay angry, but Ramsay is the one who got Jon to act the way Jon was hoping Ramsay would.

You got it. It makes sense. John Snow is charismatic. But he realy "he knows nothing". He is almost an Anti Hero. A Bad Commander.  But still he can gather people together and he is a good figther. Ramsey played Jonh's weakness and if wasn't for the Knights of the vale he woyld have succeeded

Why was Ramsey killing his cavalry with archers?

Couldn't Sansa have mentioned that LF was coming to Jon?

I got that impression too. That would be such a Ramsey thing to do and would fit with what Jon had said earlier, that his men would fight for him, but he wouldn't fight for them.
