Raisin' Bran
I think you are reaching a bit. Have you seen anything else that would refer to other television shows or movies? Lord of the Rings does not count.
Rippounet
Did you mean Sun Wukong?

GRRM has referenced "The Muppets" show in TWOIAF by naming some Tully lords "Elmo", "Grover" and "Kermit".

Fair enough. Do you believe that GRRM would reference Dragon Ball (or its other subsequent titles)?

GyantSpyder
A better question might be how many people dressed like Super Saiyans have asked George R.R. Martin for autographs at conventions over the years?
Neptunium
I don't think the OP is talking about the Dragonball character. "孙悟空" is a character from Chinese mythology. In Mandarin, his name is "Sun Wukong". In Japanese, his name is "Son Goku" (the first dozen or so episodes of Dragonball started out as a parody of Journey to the West). It's possible the Woman with a Wonkey Tail is based on the same mythical character (Sun Wukong/Son Goku) that Goku in Dragonball was based on.
