Primetime Emmy Awards 2016

Recommended Posts

Live with you from the comfy couch half the world far from LA... Tonight, Academy awards its best and brightest... on TV. Which narrows it quite a lot.

Just like earlier this year, I will update the thread with winners... For those interested, the second post in this thread will be reserved for pictures from the red carpet.

As always, let we have great fun being disappointed that our favorites didn't win it :D

UPDATE: For all the "Game of Thrones" fans, it has been confirmed that the next season will not be eligible for the 2017 Emmys. So, nothing for GoT until 2018...

Thrones wins for writing but Lena loses again. Shame

After Kimmel's distasteful behavior, I am extremely happy for Dame Smith's win (although last season wasn't the best for her character). That said, Americans really need to understand that there are individuals who don't care about these things. They could do like Oscars and snub her completely... But, alas, they didn't have Jennifer Lawrence.

Can't remember last time I agreed with so many of the winners in an awards show.

Congrats to GoT for going back-to-back best drama. Well deserved, S6 was amazing. Glad Sapochnik won as well.

Also, JLD for Veep, Rami Malek for Mr. Robot,  and most of all the long overdue win for Tatiana Maslany. What she does making that many characters so distinctive is nothing short of brilliant. Really happy for her.

I'm so happy to see Rami and Tatiana win.  I've fallen out with Orphan Black a bit because I feel like the writers never thought much about the overall plot beyond two seasons and it really got muddled.  But her performance has and is still spectacular.  And Rami just astounds me.

Don't really care too much about the rest.
