Pecan
Do we know yet when Season 2 will air in the US?
Calibandar
Neither a US or UK date is known for season II. I expect in the Fall for the UK.
Philokles
The BBC ran a trailer for 'Drama in 2017' which included the Last Kingdom series two so it will be sometime this year, and have recently repeated series one which might mean it will be soonish. HexMachina
Well, that kind of sucks as a trailer. Not that BBC usually does very substantive trailers for its shows. Still looking forward to this though.
Which Tyler
Spring then, as semi-predicted. I'd suggest early spring too if the BBc are advertising it already Do we know if they're doing 1 or 2 books worth this year? I'm guessing 2, as just the Burning lands might get a bit repetitive. They'll definitely need to up the budget and get a couple of boats built for this seasom

But yeah, BBC doesn't usually advertise too far in advance.
Which Tyler
Sorry, that was the first ad I've seen for it beyond the generic "coming in 2017". Equally I don't use Facebook, so no idea what's on there; I just knew s1 was available again, which inevitably meant S2 within about 6 weeks. HexMachina
Sorry, wasn't very clear. You are correct, that This is the first trailer, but in the tag line for the video advertising that Season 1 was on iPlayer there was a note about coming Spring 2017. I sincerely hope they only do one book, because I though the pacing was way too quick in season 1.
Mark Antony
Lords of the North is plenty enough for one season for sure.
Pliskin
Given the casting, I'm pretty sure it's two books still. They have two more episodes this season, it will probably be less rushed.

Veltigar
If I remember correctly, the third book (or was it the second, I'm a bit hazy on the details) was the weakest in the series, so I hope they find something to pair it with so that it's better than the books

Same here. I often don't know they are coming out until I see it on iplayer the day after. Sometimes we get a heads up when they put the previous season or a "story so far" on iplayer. The Anti-Targ
So does it come to Netflix outside of the UK at the same time as it releases on BBC in the UK? Or are we going to have a delay?

The second season is co-produced by Netflix so I'd expect it gets released within a day or two of the UK airing. I suspect it won't be on NEtflix UK until a day or so later either as the BBC probably don't want to damage their domestic ratings and that netflix is more interested in the international rights. Possibly like how the Star Trek rights will work when that comes out.
