I think the best is if you just do not respond to whatever she says.

I would offer the same advice to Sidious. If you two cannot talk to each other normally, then just don't.

Then tell Sidious that, because this is the only way I know how to communicate with someone so dishonorable. If Sid says something and I feel inclined, I'm not holding my tongue.

Though with all factious jokes put to the side, this is just how we talk. I have  tried to be nice.....doesn't work

Eh. Fine. But right now I am very much looking forward to be up north soon.

You don't like it home very much, do you?

Ah, maaaan... I mean... I like this flat a lot and it's literally 99% perfect, but the seller is either dumb as shit or an asshole who thinks that we are dumb as shit. I don't think I will ever move house. I will die here and my spiders will eat my body while my soul escapes this circus we label a European capitalism to a rice farm in Bangladesh. *goes to kitchen to prepare another cocktail*

Deal?, do you need to see a therapist or something?, with each passing moment you are more valley girl.

Okay, you stop too.

This bickering is so annoying.

I do. I just do not want to live here anymore, I guess. I have made myself very comfortable up north for now. And I am very worried about what happens in two months when my internship and the rent end and I probably have to move back here. I want to enjoy the time left there.

I have never drunk coffee. The smell is very off-putting to me, I do not want to start drinking it.

Good coffee is wonderful, just don't get any of that nasty instant stuff. But then I really like the smell of coffee too. Nothing beats the smell of fresh coffee in the morning.

I can understand that. Being independent like that is indeed glorious. I'm sure you'll be fine and figure out something. Can you look for a job and stay permanently or you need some sort of residence and labor permission for that first?

Caffeine and alcohol are like 90% of what gets me out of bed, maybe I'm more adult-like than I thought. Then again, two weeks ago I sort of broke into my old high school with a friend to look for a dead fish, so I can't be that grown up.

Alcohol? and what does that have to do with adulthood? Other than the "I'm so hardcore I sleep 5 hours a night because I work ten hours and go out to get drunk afterwards and aww the only way I can climb out of bed is a gallon of espresso in my resealable minimal design coffee cup" kind of adulthood. Without any offence being meant, I really don't think that's what adulthood is about. People tend to associate not sleeping (and trying to substitute it with caffeine) with being cool and hard working and successful. Sleep restores your neurons, allows your muscles to grow, relieves stress, slows your blood pressure, switches off your brain. These are all things you need to (stay alive and) perform well at your job/school/gym and be effective in whatever you are doing. Caffeine doesn't do any of those things, what it does is work up your bloodpressure to trick your brain into thinking you don't need all those things. Permanent sleep deprivation is not healthy and letting yourself be convinced that it's cool and adult-like to sacrifice your health bit by bit to be considered successful and cool and hard working is a very slippery slope . So risking being branded uncool and unsuccessful and lazy, I stick with my 8 hours of sleep. :dunno: (of course that's just me and my opinion, everybody is free to disagree)

Being an EU citizen, I can stay and work wherever I want. :smug: Actually, you just need a permit to stay more than three months in a country; I got it when I was a student, so it still says "education" on mine - should probably sort that out if I started actually working there, but I cannot imagine that to be too hard. Now after an emergency two weeks ago, I even know that EHIC works and is accepted, so yay for that. In short, being from a EU country you do not need a special permit to be allowed to search for a job in any other EU country. I am going to become a filthy job-stealing low-skilled economic migrant from a poor poor southern ex-socialist country and nobody will be able to do anything about it, mwahahaha!

Spoiler

For those who didn't get it, that last part was a joke. :P

I never worked abroad so I don't know how much paperwork is needed but this is great news, you can basically start looking for a permanent job.

You aren't low skilled.

I usually get between 7-9 hours of sleep and my bioclock is set for that average. Now I wake up after 8ish (+/- 30 mins) hours of sleep at the weekend too. And that's good, I can function well with that kind of sleep.

I don't sleep much but I don't associate it with adulthood, I blame it on stress and anxiety. I just try and make light of it because it's better than crying over it

Because everyone here was talking about how much they need coffee, and TTTNE is like my main source of social contact with adults so I started associating the two with each other :P I do get 8 hours of sleep, often more, but I'm still tired all the time, hence the coffee. I tend to fall asleep in class if I don't drink it, even after 10 hours of sleep (I'm considering seeing a doctor about this).

And the way I phrased that first part makes me sound like an alcoholic, I just meant that I drink beer and coffee a lot since I started studying.
