You've missed something. Bethany would not be the heir. Gyles' ward would be the heir. If Olyvar is that ward that means he gets everything. No line of succession comes into play. However, if the crown doesn't like who the ward is, they can name someone else the rightful heir. Some cool Valyrian twist on a Northern name. (Yeah, some of those are boys names. I cheated.) Anyone Valyrian + anyone Valyrian = Vaega. It'd be cool for a baby to have a name alluding to a star. Side note: I wonder if Vaegon is a nod to the star Vega?
