By stressing the fact that they have black, instead of red, eyes is GRRM linking them to the House of Black and White and stressing their opposition to the magical forces that seem to be represented by those albinos in ASoIaF? Do the Maesters know about the relationship between the CotF and the ravens? And back to green- green pearls are mentioned quite a few times. I've previously linked pearls with eyes (as has GRRM when he mentions a cask filled with pearl eyes, for example) so what does it mean, for example, for when Dany wears slippers of green pearls on her feet?
