Tywin and Doran are quite cunning, but have clearly limited emotional intelligence and are totally unable to realize the emotional states and inner worlds of their children, and that contributes to their plans unravelling. Compare Tywin to Roose Bolton, who like Tywin is quite abusive to his family - but Roose is able to use that to his advantage, where Tywin eventually pushes his son to patricide. House Beaudreau Posted April 14, 2017 Share Posted April 14, 2017 My definition of intelligence has to do with concrete examples of people showing ther intelligence at work or obviously having a lot of knowledge about a subject than most people. The smartest people on my list have shown both of these. I tried to limit it to only living characters and a good representation of Male and Female. Stannis Baratheon 9. Tyrion Lannister 10. Kevan Lannister... bottom five in no particular order are Cersei, Jaime, Catelyn, Lysa, Arianne.
