Davos Seaworth: More than Meets the Eye

We know that GRRM confirmed a POV character in A Dance with Dragons was a homosexual.  Most people believe it's Jon Connington, but it's actually Ser Davos.  Re-read his chapters and all the clues are there:

From a Storm of Swords Davos III:

“I am your man, Your Grace. So it is your tongue, to do with as you please.”

All that we ask in Davos Seaworth: More than Meets the Eye is that the debate be conducted by reference to the text, with respect for the ideas of others, and above all great good humour.

I think you may be on to something here. Every time he squeezes the sack around his neck, he's almost always thinking about Stannis. Does he secretly wish that was Stannis' sack? He swims through a burning river of passion for his one true king, no matter how many chains are erected against him. Never stop, Davos, you will one day taste your lord's smoke and salt.

He's the only one who ever loved Stannis and that include Stannis himself.

Nah. Davos is not gay, he's just very loyal and dedicated. As Stannis himself testified:

Yes, I should have come sooner. If not for my Hand, I might not have come at all.

Of course, this is but a tip of the iceberg. There has been, of course, a whole thread (I mean, at least one) devoted to proving how they all are a bunch of oversexed pervs. Including Lord Commander Ser Barristan the Bold. And the Ned.

Here I was thinking you'd be making a case for Davos being a Transformer...

Ha....I think that may be more plausible.

I'll admit, the "tongue" quote is a little gray (or is it gay), but if this is true, you would think that we would have more indication after 3 books worth of POV chapters (13 total) if this was true.  Sorry, @roosebolton36 I just don't see it.....

Who cares??? But its pretty obvious that Jon Connington is a homesexual but again who cares and honestly Rhegar could probably turn the straightest of men gay with one song on his harp. I think this is the real reason Robert hated Rhegar he had un holy thoughts around him.........

I care. I'm sure plenty of people would care.

I'm also like 90% sure the OP was joking, something that flew over a lot of heads

It's amazing how a forum of some really intelligent people can be so, so bad at detecting sarcasm.  a lot of my sarcastic comments are met with "Well, ACTUALLY..."

To further prove Davos being homosexual, he's called the Onion knight, which sounds like a bad porno. And he loves his seamen. That's all I got.

The Onion Night sounds like a tear-jerker gay drama about two men falling in love and peeling each other's deepest layers.

"Stannis complained about being the middle child all his life. Now he'll be on top."

Directed by Ang Lee, probably.
