Ned Stark and Ashara Dayne

A love affair between Ned and Ashara would add some sweetness to the past.  If ever a man deserved to have a spot of happiness in the story, it is Eddard Stark.  The guy cleaned up the messes left behind by father Rickard (southron ambitions), Brandon (Cat, Winterfell, maybe Jon), and Lyanna (Jon).  Ashara was his first choice according to what many readers believe.  Ned is not a handsome guy but maybe Ashara saw beyond the looks after he rescued her from whatever dishonor happened at the tourney.  A living child between the two would be welcomed by many fans.

I despise Jon and Arya.  I dislike Sansa.  However I try not to let my dislike for them color my opinion of the whole family.  At least I try not to.  I recognize that Ned is a good guy at the time we knew him.  Maybe he was a  young shit back in the day.  We don't know.  I give him the benefit of the doubt.
