Why would that be ironic for Stannis? No, Sam will not melt down his ancestral Valyrian steel sword to cure Jorah. No chance. He is at the Citadel. Something tells me there is probably a piece of dragonglass lying around IF he needs it. Not sure if that is the cure for greyscale that the show will use, but it definitely won't come from a sword. They need all the Valyrian steel they can get their hands on for the upcoming war. Winter is here...
goomba
It would be really cool to see Jorah end up with Heartsbane! Jorah is definitly a knight worthy of a valyrian sword!

Also, Jorah had the decency of leaving Lonclaw behind when he fled Westeros. The last thing he would do is to take a stolen sword of another house for himself, not even if Samwell Tarly(who stole it) gave it to him.
Raeslewolhn
Also Valyrian steel and dragonglass aren't the same thing. Both may be useful weapons against the WW but they are different substances. We don't even know the role of VS in the show yet exactly either.
