all swedes are racist
so, i had to interview a young lady today looking to join our firm, and my question is: does asking her about her sexual history during the interview count as cheating on my wife? Turn of phrase 8 hours ago, Kalbear said: There are plenty of examples of individuals in populations who are non-monogamous, but that doesn't mean that monogamy is abnormal. It means that humans have lots of bonding variations, and there's very little specific that is dictated by biology alone. Anyone else who says otherwise is using evopsych bullshit to sell their own specific brand of morality as the way to go. My point is that humans (especially males) appear to find it very difficult to stick to a monogamous sexual relationship ( given the options to stray in some form). It feels like society is constructing behaviours in order to fight against biological urges, which is often part of societies role anyway. 8 hours ago, Kalbear said: Nonmonogamy is not moving backwards. Most people who get married will disagree with you.

No, but that yoga stunt might earn you a good grounding, methinks.

Just look for people with matching interests and then check their feed to see if they're looking for new play pals. There's also meetups, lunches and socials in my city. It's pretty hit or miss here, but I've made a few good contacts. Message away.

Is it just a taboo that everyone does but never admits, or do we really have this collective agreement that we're all committed to monogamy? Reassure me that I'm not unnecessarily passing up these opportunities, because I'm pretty sure the opportunities will dwindle with time. This question came up in a conversation not too long ago and the group was about 50:50 split on whether this was something that no-one did or that everyone at least tried. Is there something I don't know? Anything you have to lie to people you love about just ain't worth it, imo. Monogomy's not for everyone, or even most people imo, but lies are relationship cancer. Ah yeah I use it plenty for munches / events, but other than that mostly for socialising with people I've either met or spoke to elsewhere, like OKCupid. Maybe I should try messaging a few people with similar interests. I mean, as long as it's respectful then what's the worst that can happen? Galactus
I remember looking at some historical stats on demographics and one of the things that stood out is that despite all the "Death of marriage" and "divorce epidemic" cries people aren't actually staying married that much shorter than they have historically: It's just that the cause of the end of marriage (and subsequent remarriage) tends to be divorce rather than death. Isgrimner
I recall watching some adaptation of the Arthurian saga when I was very young. That anger that little kid me felt at Lancelot and Guinevere has stuck with me since and I'm slightly into my 4th decade. So I've never been a fan of cheating and have never done so. I've had friends that have done it, and I suppose I've helped enable their cheating at least once in a small way by going along with him "picking up" a girl or at the very least not saying anything. I've known him since kindergarten and his wife since high school. I've never told her, as I don't feel its my place.

I'm pretty self-centred, so it probably shouldn't be a surprise, but I honestly don't know any issue we disagree on, let alone everything. Probably wrong, but I had you down as pretty 'left' on most stuff, same as me. Ah, well. Edit: Did a quick check on your recent post history and I couldn't find anything where we differ. Are you maybe confusing me with someone else?
