Jon's relationship with Davos

Who do you think will be the alternative to Davos, in respect to his relationship with Jon, in the "winds of winter and a dream of spring" book version of ASOIAF? On the shows it seems that Davos is Jon's most trusted advisor and I'm wondering who would fill that role in the books seemingly as Davos is off to Skagos to find Rickon and with Jon still laying 'dead'. Of course there is a lot still to happen after Jon's resurrection but at the moment he was stabbed he was reacting to the letter from Ramsay so his immediate concern is with going to Winterfell to confront Ramsay. 

In the books the only people Jon is close enough to are his black brothers, who I'm sure won't be his advisors, and potentially Tormund, again can't see him being the no2. 

I'm just a bit reluctant to believe that when Davos does return, with or without Rickon, that there will be that clear mutual respect between them for Davos to be his most trusted advisor

I don't know who will be his second but I agree there is no set up for it in the books.
