We've been trying to figure out why one particular table is giving us so much trouble on the forum, and have been repeatedly making efforts to diagnose and mitigate the problem. We've improved various MySQL settings that seem to be greatly improving general speed and stability... but that table is still causing issues, such that when it finally triggers a flush it just backs everything else up. We will continue working on it as we can, but we are presently preparing to head off to Worldcon in Finland, so issue resolution may be delayed.
